Sorry to hear about your dh being laid off

Thanks Donna! He works for General Motors and a plant that supplies their axles for trucks and SUVs are on strike, so its affected many people and many GM plants.

We are of course behind the people on strike 100%, but it means that there will be a lot of penny pinching and prayer they go back to work soon.

I'm sorry . Sounds like it's just a temporary thing though. Hang in there!

We hope so. Thanks Darcy!

Oh darn, he's being affected American Axle strike! We here in the Motor City are hearing about it all the time. My DH is a contract employee (currently working for GM) but not at one of the plants so we're okay (in this regard at least). That looks like a really tough strike and of course, your situation stinks too. Definitely prayers are with you and all the people affected by it.

The state of Michigan, where and I live is in HORRIBLE economic condition and it's going downhill FAST. I think that Michigan is going to get A LOT worse before it gets better. Sorry to say that other states are right behind us when it comes to their economies going bad. JMO, Jen Donna M-P wrote: Hi ,Sorry to hear about your dh being laid off - thats*cks. Yes, this is depressing. What ever happened to making cars in

America?

Oh, that's right, we need to pollute the Earth in foreign countries,

not ours and, let the Chinese and Mexicans live in thick pollution and

exploit their cheap labor..

Okay, done b*tching here. I hope DH gets back to work soon.

Hugs,
