I've been lurking in the shadows for a while. I have a queston for you

knowledgeable people...

We have exceptionally hard water and live in the desert with extremely low

humidity. Does anybody have a recommendation for a bath salt recipe that I can

use to soften up the water and leave my skin moisturized? (I'm not asking

much... :-)

I don't care about a ring around the tub - I would be willing to have this

just so I can have a nice soothing, relaxing soak in the tub!

Is there anyone out there? Did everyone go south for the winter?

Surely someone has a question or suggestion, or made something they

are proud of and want to share.

This used to be a very active group. What happened?

You all remember the library? Have you tried anything there and does

it work or have you an improved recipe to share?

I know the library hasn't been updated in awhile but that is because I

wasn't around to do it. I'm back now and need content to add.

Got any good marketing ideas? New ways to package? New uses for items?

Anything helpful.

Let's see if we can get this group motivated again.

I'll start.

I have a friend who is a physical/massage therapist and she has been

giving me massages. I made some massage cream/oil or whatever for her

to use on me.

Main ingredient is coconut oil (it's solid at 72 degrees) about 1/2

cup. I added about 1 oz. emu oil, 2 teaspoons MSM powder and about 1/2

oz. DMSO (this will help the skin to absorb the good stuff). Then to

make is smell good I added a few drops of Jasmin fragrance oil.

Great stuff and really smelled good.

Then I remembered that she doesn't like fragrance oils so made another

batch. In this one I left out the emu oil (put it all in the first

batch:) and added the contents of 2 gel caps of multivitamins, 2 of

vitamin E, 3 capsules of Magnesium, along with the other stuff in the

first batch. The magnesium was a tiny bit gritty but it did mostly

dissolve. The little that was left made for just the right amount of

friction to warm things up and I didn't feel it at all when she used

it. This one didn't smell so nice (Multivitamins don't smell nice:)

but it made a fantastic cream/oil for a massage.

I'm a little dab of this and a little dab of that person so I don't

really have an exact recipe. Maybe someday I'll right one.

So, there is what I'm doing. Anyone else doing anything they want to

share?

Okie
