Guest guest
I've never seen anybody more frustrated, messed up, and crazy than non-competitors trying to follow a strict fitness competition meal plan. I think for the average person it's a recipe for disaster. You don't really learn how to eat, or how to trust yourself, or how to be happy. Even if you tough it out for however many weeks, the rebound is inevitable. That's true even for the pros. I've seen bodybuilders and fitness competitors bounce up 10-15 pounds in a weekend. It's mostly water, but holy snot! How alarming to regain that fast! Once the competition or the photo shoot is over and a hungry, dehydrated, cravings-ridden, carb-depleted person celebrates with a piece of pizza, or a cookie, or pasta, look out! It doesn't make sense for someone not stepping on a competition stage to do that to themselves. There has to be some joy and flexibility in your daily meals. I think basic BFL does a good job of making a competition(ish) plan doable for regular people. On a daily basis you can still have a dessert, or a fajita, or a pita pizza - something that makes you feel normal. The straight-up chicken and broccoli plans seem to turn dieters into ticking time-bombs. It's only a matter of time before their willpower explodes into a million pieces and they're back at square one. > http://www.precisionnutrition.com/this-plan-makes-you-fat > > I'd love to hear some discussion on this > > > Sheila > > > >
Guest guest
Does he have a camera in my kitchen? That's exactly what happens to me on days when I actually plan for " calculated " meals. Twenty minutes after I finish a meal, I'm looking for a quick fix, like frozen yoghurt, cookies or cheese and crackers! -Janine > > http://www.precisionnutrition.com/this-plan-makes-you-fat > > I'd love to hear some discussion on this > > > Sheila > > >
