Guest guest
> Well , the times have not changed!!! I, too contacted them about 2 years ago and after a very similar experience, went somewhere else. Except I still hadn't found what I REALLY wanted. So I tried again 2 months ago and STILL have not gotten my order. Everytime I call I get the same story... " working on it " . Do you know where else I can go for metal cases??????? It would feel good to cancel my standing order, I doubt I'll get it anyway. Write me privetly if you wish... > thanks for the verifacation! > scent@... > Hi Dabney, Sorry to hear they are the same way even with a firm order! Here is some information I have gathered over the years, I have gotten so much from the group, so don't mind sharing it ) www.firemountaingems.com as a collection of different boxes – shell boxes, lacquer boxes, porcelain boxes, cloisonné boxes, and even a rose quartz box. I have ordered beads from them before for my handmade tea cozies with good success and good customer service - you can buy in small lots or large (price goes down with quantity). I use www.zeelver.com for my silver perfume boxes – good service, but can get pricy with the shipping from Bali/Thailand - they also have perfume lockets. I had the following links bookmarked, but do not know anything about the companies (disclaimer!): www.jansjewels.com small collection of brass compacts, pill boxes and lockets http://creativefindings.com/lockets.htm - no experience with the company - look under manufactured products for a list of all they do - they have metal pill boxes & lockets, and the picture is apparently a small representative of what they do. Based in RI. http://www.cameosandkeepsakes.com/index.php?main_page=index & cPath=80 & zenid=d2c15\ e91b6c4f644b0bb6920c8793b42 - n pill boxes little pricier but pretty – no experience with the company http://www.wholesalesterling.com/index.html - has silver pill boxes and perfume lockets in catalog #12 - no experience with the company, their pricing has a surcharge based on the current price of silver that you must add onto the prices I also use the 1/4 oz flat slipcover tins (round ones you use for lip balm) with a pretty sticker on the top and present them in a small gift box – I got mine at www.sks-bottle.com for my moderate priced line. You can get them elsewhere also. There are also some cute little glass jars that can look very pretty with the right label/packaging - www.sunburstbottle.com has some under lip balm glass jars, www.essentialsupplies.com has some under the specialty glass/cosmetic section in gold or silver finish. www.newdirectionsaromatics.com has glass pots in cobalt, gold, and silver. I have not listed plastic, as it isn't the best for retaining scent. If anyone else knows some good sources for solid perfume containers (even wood ones would be of interest to me!) I will gladly add the links to the links section along with the ones I have listed. Hope this helps! www.elderberryherbfarm.com
