Guest guest
Hi Diane: Aloe is great for an aftershave. It cools the skin and helps heal that darn razor burn. Look for the clear, not green-colored stuff at the drugstore. Dilute it a bit with some distilled water or witch hazel. You can add fragrance if you want but I prefer to leave mine unscented. Finally, a few drops of glycerin adds a moisturizing touch...not too much, or it will be sticky. Good luck! :-) Cat > Is anyoneyaking a mens after shave lotion or splash? Guest guest
Hi Diane, My fellow likes using a facial serum that I made up from Rosehip Oil, Raspberry Seed Oil, and Pomegranate Oil. It doesn't have a cooling effect like the aloe does, but his skin looks great! Guest guest
Diane, an herbal distillate (also called hydrosol) is a good base for an after shaving splash. It has a natural acidid pH which is good for the skin. Spruce would be nice for men, or even calendula or lemon balm. To that you can add a little aloe (5%) and glycerine (3%) and a preservative. You could also add some spices like bay, allspice and clove to imitate Bay Rum.
