Guest guest
hey everyone! Thanks for such a warm welcome!!! , Thanks for mentioning the Turbo Kick group! I will definitely check it out as soon as I get a chance. Today was crazy, so I don't think I'll get a major work out in (who knows- maybe I will??) I'm going to turn up my music later and hit the weights. I've been doing 3 sets of 20 reps of whatever exercises I decide to do. I think I'll bump it up to 4 sets. I know this was a few days ago, but I remember reading the interesting push-up fact that Darcy supplied. Now I have a stupid question, what happens when you elevate your feet, by placing them on a chair? Doesn't this increase the body weight that your upper body has to support? Does any one have the Jari Love Get Ripped and chiseled? What about Jari's Ripped to the Core? I have the other three, but found that it's basically just the same exercises just with different counts and reps. Would these two be worth buying. I know I saw them at Ross along w/ some of Tracey Mallett's workouts. So very tempting!! dani From: Festival City Concrete/ & Carolyn Visser Sent: Monday, March 24, 2008 1:51 PM To: exercisevideos Subject: Re: Welcome, Dani! hi dani !! welcome to the group, you will fit in great here, im sure :*carolyn. Guest guest
It would definitately change the push-up by elevating the feet, but I don't know if it changes how much weight you are supporting. Good question! When you have your feet elevated, the concentration will be more on the shoulders, and not as much the chest. Darcy hey everyone! Guest guest
I don't know what the percentage of body weight your lifting is but I do know it feels a lot different. I do these for P90 Sculpt 3-4 and find them about as hard as pushups on my toes from the floor. I have noticed lately that I'm having a tendency to either arch my back or use my back more and then I feel it in my lower back and have to tighten my abs as I'm doing the pushups to take the effort off my back. I don't notice this when doing them from the floor. I don't know if that helps in answering your question though.
