Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am quite sore in my shoulders, triceps and upper back - thinking this is a result of doing Power Hour followed by Amped the next day. My legs also feel a bit fatigued as well. I do think it was the sequencing of the workouts that did this to me, but that is okay - I like knowing that I worked out. I slept a bit later than usual this morning - we're having our kitchen re-done and it has messed up my schedule a bit, so I'm going to bed later and therefore getting up later. But, it should all be done today (except for putting everything back in its place). The workers have been staying until past 7 every night, which really pushes dinner way back - therefore my bed time is back, too. Today I did Voight's Sleek Workout - it is the 50 minute one that she put out after the entier Sleek Essentials Kit. I'm not sure what the name of this workout is - Complete Sleek? Anyway, it is broken down into 3 segments, " sweat " , " strength " and " sleek " Today I did the " sweat " workout which is a 20 minute cardio routine - mixed impact - typical Voight cardio - which is actually hard to describe. She is very graceful so even athletic movements have a certain flair to them - there is a little of everything in this cardio routine - even some kickboxing. If you have ever done a KV workout you'll know what I mean about her style - it is unique and she does manage to always provide a good workout in a short amount of time with minimal joint jarring. There is one backgrounder that leaves out all the impact. I will probably cave and get her Quick and Slim Cardio routine at some point - always does a good job on a short cardio routine! After that I did the Sleek workout which is Pilates-inspired work for the abs, back, and a little bit for the lower body. She does use the foam roller (I have a pool noodle that I cut down to 3 feet) for some of the exercises, but it isn't really necessary to have one. Again, this is " classic " with her emphasis on form and body positioning. I would definately like to get her complete kit at some point (including a " real " foam roller) - I just like her style and her workouts. She manages to give you a decent workout without making you feel like you killed yourself. Tomorrow I'll do either a circuit workout or a strength workout. Hope everyone has a good day!
