Guest guest
I have those workouts too ! LOL.. I have only tried the yoga one, and was not impressed. Great job on getting a workout in!Darcy I had just 30 minutes or less today so I needed a quick workout and I never thought I'd be writing this, but this morning I did a workout from a DVD I got from Mc's (yes as in hamburgers, the clown and Happy Meals) a few years ago. They were giving these out to adults who bought some kind of " healthy " salad. I have the Strength and Core DVDs and they also had Yoga and Cardio. I did Strength today. Each workout is 15 minutes. There is a computerized woman ( " Maya " ) who is your personal trainer. Her mouth doesn't move but you do hear a voice that is supposed to be her explaining proper form as she demonstrates. You have an option to choose your workout in Spanish or English and then for Strength, if you want to use hand weights or no weights and if you want to be eased into your workout or if you are up for a challenge. I chose up for a challenge thinking especially that " This is from Mc's. It is 15 minutes. How challenging can it be? " A great deal of it was compound movements, most of it upper body work with weights while doing plie squats. I started with light weights because my hips are sore but I did well so that's a good sign and I upped my weights towards the end. There were also 2 sets of 12 pushups each on your toes and 1 set of tricep pushups (10) on your knees! This is not what I was expecting from a Mc's workout. I was actually breathing hard during some of the compound exercises because I'd gone to heavier weights. It was actually pretty good for a 15 minute workout so I'm keeping it! :-) After that I did the 10 minute standing stretch from Tamilee Webb's beginner stretching video whose name I can't remember right now. So I got my flexibility and pushups in, plus a pretty decent 15 minute workout and I'm off to work and running flat out fast the whole day. Guest guest
, I actually have some of these too. I can't remember which ones, but I remember them. I remember thinking it was a bit weird to workout with because it wasn't a real person, but the workouts seemed sound. I'll have to pull them out again (especially since I planned to do them sometime this year anyway) and see which ones I have.
