Guest guest
Two topics -- one note! 1. This afternoon I did Yoga for Weight Loss. I haven't done this one in a long time but am glad I did. Suzanne Deason leads it and is the voice over for instructions as she and 3 modifiers do the poses. I really like this one because it is not high intensity, just gentle, peaceful and has a nice flow to it. She has a very nice, calming voice for this too. I needed that today. I also really like how there is a not flexible modifier, a sort of flexible modifier, an almost as flexible as Suzanne modifier and Suzanne herself doing the full pose. One of the modifiers shows how to do poses with props and the voice over explains how to also. The camera shows the modifiers well too. It is 60 minutes and she focuses a lot on breathing, which I really liked too. She explains what some of the poses do for you too which was interesting. I made myself not look at the screen sometimes and just do the pose as best I could, focusing on my breath and whatever sensations I got in my body as I did them. I am so less flexible than I was a few months ago, when I was doing yoga and stretching more regularly, it bothered me a bit and then I just gave that up and did what I was able to right this minute without judging myself. It felt much better at that point! I will DEFINITELY make sure to keep incorporating extra stretching into workouts though, especially if a workout I'm doing doesn't have much. The only thing that would have made this better would have been if she would have given the names of the poses (in English) more often. She didn't seem to very often and I like to hear the names so I can associate them with the poses and anticipate what kinds of props or modifications I might need. It also just helps me learn the names of the poses, which I'm still working on. The shavasana was really short too (though she does say you can stay that way for as long as you want but as soon as she said "Namaste" I was popping up). 2. P90 Masters rotation timing: I have to say this is starting to stress me out believe it or not! I've decided that at this moment, I am not committing to any start date at all. I have so many rotations in my head (theme weeks mostly) and then I start to think "Oh no, I might not be able to get these all in before we start P90 Masters and I really want to just focus on other things for now and not that!" Now I know full well I'm doing this to myself and NOBODY is putting pressure on me to commit to anything, except me, so I'm telling myself (and in order to do that I'm announcing it to everyone on the list) that I am not committing to anything, that everything is open and that whenever I feel ready for it I just will (and then I'll order it from Beachbody and sit and wait, probably biting my nails with anticipation, for it to come in which I understand could take a while). Okay, that's it. Thanks for listening! :-)
