Guest guest
The finish line is in sight!!!! Today I did P90 Sculpt 3-4. In at least two or three of the pushup sections I tried so hard to get past 12 and could bring it down with control but not get back up for 13! All your cheering got me inspired to try even harder! :-) I think I'm going to make a quick pushup chart for my workout room and will challenge myself to keep doing them most days. If I'm not doing workouts with them I forget. Same thing with abs. If I don't schedule abs I don't do them and with P90 Cardio having abs right at the end I automatically did them at least 3 days a week with this rotation. I also added on 15 Minute Workouts for Dummies abs (so that'll be at least 4 or 5 days of abs this week). I like this little workout. Just challenging enough after a big workout like P90. I can really feel my abs working during the exercises. Gay Gaspar's cueing in her warm-up though (and the rest of them on this DVD) is just bad enough though to make me want to avoid a cardio workout with her. I've done it enough to know it isn't me it really is her cueing. Good thing the warm-ups are short and the strength training workouts are good. I'm starting to think about life after P90. I'm really going to miss it I think. I got bored for a while and am now re-energized with it. Oh well. I finish Tuesday of next week if all goes according to plan. I'm thinking the rest of that week will be a very quiet recovery week and then I'm not sure if I should hit hard again starting the following week or do some intense some light or what. I don't feel like my body has been particularly punished at this point. I'm very comfortable with the workouts. They still challenge me to some extent but not like they did 3 or 4 months ago (when I was really excited to make it all the way through Cardio 1-2 without collapsing). I'll post what I come up with when I do. Right now it is off to work phase 1 then I come home for a few hours and it is work phase 2! Guest guest
Hi ! It is great that you are challenging yourself with push-ups. A great modification to get more time on your toes is to go down on your toes and then come up on your knees. I had the same feelings toward the end of P90X, I had a major slump in the middle, but got re-energized at the end. I say for the week after just do what you want, give yourself a mental break! I really ended up doing about 2 months of " whatever " before I felt ready for something more structured (which I'm doing now, but not nearly as structured at p90x, with this rotation that I'm doing now, I have more freedom to pick and choose what I want to do - with the caveat of doing at least two of the same weight workouts from week to week so I can keep track of my progress better) Let me know when you're up for P90 Masters! I'm budgeting for buying that set this year! Take care, Donna --- nancydewolf wrote: > The finish line is in sight!!!! Today I did P90 > Sculpt 3-4. Guest guest
Hi Donna! I love that idea about the pushups, thank you, I hadn't thought of it at all! It is really interesting to hear you had a similar experience with P90X. I'm thinking since I'll end on a Tuesday that the rest of that week is totally whatever and I might not even workout all 6 days if I don't feel like it without feeling guilty either! :-) I like having some sort of systematic scheme to my workouts though I've decided so probably after that I'll have a plan in place but whatever I do, it will be fun and not feel like I have to do anything for at least a few weeks. I replied to a post from Judy about P90 Masters timing. I'm thinking probably end of May/early June (and she was too). What do you think? Re: Thurs: Day 85!
