Guest guest
Great workout . You are my workout hero! Kathy Saturday workout Hi, Well, as usual I had to really MAKE myself do today's workout. I have such a hard time doing workouts on Saturday. We just do a lot of running around (grocery store, out to eat, etc.) that I just have to really try to fit it in. I like to get it done Saturday so I can rest on Sunday. I've really thought of going back to taking the weekends off like I did several years ago. Anyway, I did Muscle Max. I did the entire workout including the abs. That's a big deal for me since most of the time I do either a premix or just parts of this workout. I think I've done the entire thing 3 times. Here's the breakdown: Legs Warm Up Squats DB - 10 lb Squats BB - 30 lbStatic Lunges BB- 30 lb Chest Pushups Toes Pec Flyes DB- 15 lb Slow count Pec Flyes DB- 15 lb Slow count Pushups - Knees Back Underhand lat row BB (2 sets) 40 lb One Arm Row DB - 25 lbLying Pullovers BB - 30 lb Legs Band Leg Press -Band Plie Squats DB (2 sets) 15 lb Shoulders Standing lateral raise DB (2 sets) 10 lb Band lateral raises - Band Upright Row DB (2 sets) 10 lb Front raise/ Rear Delt squeeze BB- 20 lb Biceps Bicep Curls BB (2 sets) - 30 lbCrazy 8s DB - 10 lb Triceps Seated overhead press DB/Dips (2 sets) 15 lb Single arm Band Kickbacks - Band Core/Abs I feel pretty worked! I'm happy I have no workouts tomorrow. I just have to ask (though I know this has been brought up before) what are you all's opinion of taking Sat & Sun off from all workouts? Have any of you tried it or thought about doing it? ~*~~*~ Need a new ride? Check out the largest site for U.S. used car listings at AOL Autos. Guest guest
This is an old note I'm replying to, just wanted to say thank you to Kathy, I went ahead and ordered the workouts too! :-) Saturday workout Sorry I haven't been better at reporting my workouts. I have terribly busy and computer shy as well. I got a new laptop for mother's day (actually my DH and I are sharing it as it's also his father's day present) so I will be better about posting. I love that I can put it on my desk in the kitchen so it's really convienient for both of us. Anyhow, yesterday I broke in a new workout that I got from Prevention. It's called the Sugar Solution workout 1-2-3. It starts with a 5 minute light cardio warmup, followed a nice and easy to learn 20 minute cardio workout using your legs and arms. Then there are 4 5 minute toning segments that concentrate on on two areas such as triceps and shoulders, etc. Then there is a 10 minute total body training segment that emphasizes core training along with strength. Then she finishes up with a short cool down and stretch. Nothing fancy, but it's a nice basic workout that I am feeling today and Freytag cues each move very well. I also purchased Prevention 3-2-1 in the same deal. I found a good link on Videofitness.com to purchase both workouts for the $4.95 shipping only which was a great deal I thought. You had to page thru other offers, but there was no catch and they don't even bill your credit card - they send you a bill! I ordered on Tuesday and got my DVD's yesterday in the mail. Here is the link if anyone wants to give it a try (some people have said they have not received their workouts, but I would give it a try as they send you a bill and don't have your credit information): https://secure.rodale.com/webapp/wc... & keycode=048538 --Kathy Calvin: I'm a genius, but I'm a misunderstood genius.
