Ten Point Exercise: A Way To Move Deeper Into The Ethericby Jim GilkesonAuthor of Energy Healing: A Pathway to Inner Growth,Here, we will follow the general etheric circulation and the way itmoves on the front of the body-up the left front of the body and downthe right front. This time, we will use a number of the energy-activepositions you will have learned from other issues of this newsletter,as well as the dominant direction of the etheric flow. (Should thesebe new for you, you can find more discussion in the book, EnergyHealing: A Pathway to Inner Growth. We will also discover that oureyes are energy-active positions. In this exercise, we will "connect the dots," moving between theselandmarks on the river of energy that flows around our body. At eachposition named in the exercise, we will stop and allow the contact tointensify. This will bring us deeper into the etheric. Pay specialattention to the crossover from the left to the right side of yourbody, which in this exercise takes place when you get to your eyes. Here we go:Exercise Steps:1. LEFT FOOT CHAKRA: Bring your awareness to your left foot chakra. This minor chakra is located in the center of the sole of your foot. You contact it the same way as you do any energy-active position; makea feeling contact with the position on the sole of your foot and staywith it about a minute so that the contact can intensify.2. LEFT HIP POINT: Now move slowly with your awareness up the front ofyour leg on the skin surface to your left hip point. Again, it can behelpful to imagine a breeze of air, or the light touch of a hand, moving slowly on the skin surface. Pause at the left hip point for aminute, letting the contact deepen.3. LEFT HAND CHAKRA: When that contact has been allowed to deepen, move "through the air" to your left hand chakra. This minor chakra islocated in the center of the palm of your hand. Take a minute to allowthis contact to build up.4. LEFT SHOULDER POINT: When you have developed a good feeling contactwith this position, move your awareness on the skin surface up yourarm to your left shoulder point. Again, this is like slowly, consciously stroking the surface of your skin with the paintbrush ofyour awareness.5. LEFT EYE: When your left shoulder point is activated from about aminute of feeling contact, move on the skin surface up your neck andthe side of your face to your left eye. There, make a feeling contactwith your entire left eyeball. Stay with this contact for about a minute.6. RIGHT EYE: Now move to your right eye and make your feeling contactwith your entire right eyeball. Stay with this contact for about a minute.7. RIGHT SHOULDER POINT: Now move your awareness down the right sideof your face and neck to your right shoulder point. Remember not to"jump," but rather stay on the skin surface. Stay with your feelingcontact with the right shoulder point for about a minute.8. RIGHT HAND CHAKRA: Now move down your arm and make a feelingcontact with your right hand chakra. Stay here for a minute or so.9. RIGHT HIP POINT: Move "through the air," this time, to your righthip point. Stay with this feeling contact for a minute or so.10. RIGHT FOOT CHAKRA: Now move your awareness on the skin surfacedown the front of your leg to your right foot chakra.11. FINISH THE EXERCISE: When you have spent a minute in a feelingcontact with this position, then simply release your focus from anyparticular position on your body or in your etheric. Take anotherminute or so to come back to your normal state of mind. This would begood time to take a few notes on your inner experiences during theexercise. Here are some questions to help you reflect on your experience:Which positions were easiest for you to contact?Which positions were most difficult for you to contact? What differences, if any, did you feel between the upward and downwardmovements? What, if anything, happened when you crossed over from the left to theright side of your body at your eyes?
