Guest guest
here is my checkin for this past week... sunday april 13 - did housework all day and called it my workout. monday april 14 - walked with chinook - 58 mins, 307 cals. tuesday april 15 - walked with chinook - 51 mins, 219 cals. then finally did 'crunch:bootcamp' which i had to get from the rental place because i could not find my own dvd. another one of crunch's better workouts and an old favourite i followed that with 'crunch: washboard abs' which i did not really enjoy. since it is from 1995, it was all crunches done on the floor,. although the warmup was done standing, i found the moves in the warmup to be awkward. the only thing that i actually liked about this workout was the instructor, terri walsh, who was mature and did not resemble a college cheerleader. wednesday april 16 - i was thrilled to get my bike out and do that with chinook instead of walking all of the time. the dog loves the faster movement and i like the variety. a 45 min bike ride today burned only 200 cals. not much, but i had to take it easy on the dog since it was his first time running with the bike this year. thursday april 17 - 36 min walk with chinook, then a 28 min bike ride with him, for a total of 360 cals. enjoyable! the weather here has been awesome!! like summer! after that i spent the rest of the day washing and detailing my chevy blazer... wheew, it was covered in mud and the inside hadnt been cleaned since last summer! friday april 18 - 43 min bike ride/run with chinook, 230 cal burn. i am trying to slightly increase the intensity of the dog's runs, hence the bit higher cal burn. saturday april 19 - 63 minute walk with the dog followed by 6 mins of stretching on my back porch beautiful day... too windy to ride my bike, but very warm. then i did 'crunch: fat burning yoga' with sarah ivanhoe. she really is a gem and this is a good vinyasa/power yoga routine. so... this was an excellent week!! i think that i surprised myself with my consistency. a full 7 days of workouts and other activities. and NO sick days! yay! also i kept my food journal for 6 of those days. my weight is down a pound or two, but i cant consider it a real loss until it has been gone for another couple of weeks. :*carolyn.
