Guest guest
but I did drag myself out of bed at about 5 and did Moreno's Inten Sati workout Good for you Donna!!! I haven't even got a workout in yet today. I have yoga down for today and I usually do yoga in the evenings anyway, so really no biggie for me. It does feel weird using yoga as my actual workout though. I've came so close to throwing in some extra cardio, but I want to stick with my plan and use this week as just the TLT's and yoga. Its hard because I feel like I need more. I KNOW this is a good thing for me. I do think I'm throwing in some calve work and maybe some lower body floor work with my yoga this evening lol I didn't get to workout yet because this morning was Kindergarten Round Up. We thought we were just going and signing some papers, NOT..... I couldn't believe all the crap we had to go through. They started out at the first table and gave us this paper and told us we had 15 more tables to go to. So it ended up taking well over an hour. I learned that there isn't a such thing as half day kindergarten anymore. She will have to go all day and it will be on Mon, Wed, Fri and the Friday will be alternated every week. What kind of schedule is that? I say its one that will keep me all messed up. I guess we'll have to get use to it. Need a new ride? Check out the largest site for U.S. used car listings at AOL Autos. Guest guest
Hey Donna! Good workout, and thanks for the review. I have a couple of dvds that fit this 'category', and I never know when to use them either. I guess during a recovery week! :-) Enjoy the lighter workouts. -----Original Message----- From: exercisevideos [mailto:exercisevideos ]On Behalf Of Donna M-P I'm thinking I really needed this rest week more than I thought, I wanted to sleep in so bad today - but I did drag myself out of bed at about 5 and did Moreno's Inten Sati workout. It wasn't quite what I expected - which was a semi-traditional yoga workout with different affirmations. What it was was a different type of lightish-cardio routine, with some yoga inspired moves and affirmations. I'm not quite sure what to call this one! It begins with a warm-up - almost, but not quite like a sun breath with different affirmations (I can't remember them all but the gist is that you're in conntrol of you attitude/outlook and therefore your destiny, you shape your self, etc. All of which is true to some extent and a good reminder!) The second session is upper body and cardio - different arm circles and arm movements combined with lower body cardio moves like jumping rope, jogging in place, etc. All combined with different affirmations. The third session is lower body - yoga-inspired moves done at a cardio pace with the affirmations (some of the poses required good balance!) and the fourth section is a yoga stretch and relaxation. My HR was up there at time with this one, so it is a nice sort of alternative to cardio. Not too much in the way of yoga. And, while I enjoyed it, I'm not sure how much use of the workout I will get - it is definately one that you have to be in the mood for - I wouldn't do it on a yoga day but I'm not sure where else it would fit in does a wonderful job of cueing, motivating, and her warmth really does shine through. I like her as an instructor. I will likely get much more use out of her Yoga Dance Fusion than this one. I No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG. Guest guest
HI , It is sometimes hard to take that recovery week, isn't it? My mind and body seem to alternate on wanting more/not wanting more! Wow, I can't believe Kindergarten Round Up took so long! Around here Kindergarten is all day 5 days per week. I personally think that it is too much, but, my DD does seem bored by only a morning Pre-K program, so who knows, it may be good for her. I also have her signed up for camp this summer that will be all day - so I guess i'll see how she handles the all-day thing over the summer. I tihnk she will be tired, she needs down time when she gets home from pre-k and that is only 2 1/2 hours, so I can't imagine what a full day of kindergarten will do to her need for down time. Selfishly, I'm looking forward to it b/c I'll have some peace around the house! But, I also know I'll miss her! (however, the days I work from home will be much easier and I hope to be more patient with her when she gets home in the afternoon since I will hopefully not be stressed out from trying to get my work done!)Take care, Donna Subject: Re: Tuesday - Inten Sati - MorenoTo: exercisevideos Date: Tuesday, April 29, 2008, 11:17 AM In a message dated 4/29/2008 10:15:05 AM Eastern Daylight Time, donna112520@ yahoo.com writes: but I did drag myself out of bed at about 5 and did Moreno's Inten Sati workout Good for you Donna!!! Guest guest
good going, donna, on trying this one. i like it in a funny sort of way... i guess that i file it with my classical stretch workouts. sounds like a really good one for recovery week. michelle, kindergarten here is on the same sort of schedule as samantha will be doing. some of the kids fall asleep on the bus on the way home from school at the end of the day... but they do adjust, and you will too. ya gotta do what ya gotta do! it takes so long to get a group of little kids to do anything that half days of kindergarten werent very effective, i guess. by the time they would get their gear off (ie: winter), go to the bathroom, and settle down, it was almost time to go back home again. personally i liked the full days, but i did have to write it all down on a calendar to keep it straight. :*carolyn.
