Guest guest
Hi! I'm thinking I really needed this rest week more than I thought, I wanted to sleep in so bad today - but I did drag myself out of bed at about 5 and did Moreno's Inten Sati workout. It wasn't quite what I expected - which was a semi-traditional yoga workout with different affirmations. What it was was a different type of lightish-cardio routine, with some yoga inspired moves and affirmations. I'm not quite sure what to call this one! It begins with a warm-up - almost, but not quite like a sun breath with different affirmations (I can't remember them all but the gist is that you're in conntrol of you attitude/outlook and therefore your destiny, you shape your self, etc. All of which is true to some extent and a good reminder!) The second session is upper body and cardio - different arm circles and arm movements combined with lower body cardio moves like jumping rope, jogging in place, etc. All combined with different affirmations. The third session is lower body - yoga-inspired moves done at a cardio pace with the affirmations (some of the poses required good balance!) and the fourth section is a yoga stretch and relaxation. My HR was up there at time with this one, so it is a nice sort of alternative to cardio. Not too much in the way of yoga. And, while I enjoyed it, I'm not sure how much use of the workout I will get - it is definately one that you have to be in the mood for - I wouldn't do it on a yoga day but I'm not sure where else it would fit in does a wonderful job of cueing, motivating, and her warmth really does shine through. I like her as an instructor. I will likely get much more use out of her Yoga Dance Fusion than this one. I'm not sure what the rest of the week has in store for me, I'm thinking of really making this a light week and doing more yoga and stretch stuff. I have plenty of time to work hard next week and the following weeks! I may pull out Petra Kolber's Breathe workout, it is a light cardio-T'ai Chi-ish workout that is fun to do, but I don't often pull it out since it doesn't really " fit " in my regular rotations. Might add some stretching or PIlates on to that. I'll see what I feel like later! Take care, Donna ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
