Guest guest
That's the yoga practice I did yesterday! It was AWESOME and my hips felt so much better afterwards. I might do it again tomorrow. That shavasana seemed kind of weird at first but I ended up relaxing into it and felt so wonderful when it was all done. I think I'll prowl ebay for Firm it Up... I'm a glutton for punishment I guess (but then I can always do this practice from YCFE afterwards right?). Firm it Up! and YCFE: Hip Mobility with Hillary Hillary came over and we had a ball doing Firm it Up! with Debbie Siebers, cursing at Debbie throughout. It went more smoothely this second time around for me and it was a lot more fun doing it with my friend! Firm It Up is a one hour long lower body workout, no weights, no lunges, yet VERY effective. I reviewed it in detail before, but basically the first third is all squats and kicks, part 2 is standing leg work holding on to a chair for balance, and part 3, my favorite, is leg and glute work on the mat. I'm very stiff and decided on Yoga Complete for Every Body: Hip Mobility, a 30 minute practice from the Beginners section, as an extended cool down after Firm It Up! It was exactly what we needed, your basic hip opening poses with a nice shavasana at the end where you trace your teeth and pallet with your tongue and explore the internal side of that part of the body, going down the asophagus, etc. I'm beat now, and off to bed!
