Guest guest
Nothing wrong with changing things up and listening to your body - great workout!Darcy Hi, Well, this morning I decided to do cardio. I just wasn't feeling like I was getting much at all this week. I went with one that was short and not so hard. I did Christi 's Step Heaven. I did stage 1 and then did 10 minute Solution Yoga (yoga burn & flexibility) I can't do any workouts this evening because we won't be home so I wanted to squeeze in the last yoga I'll be doing this week. Step Heaven was perfect for what I was looking for in the way of cardio. The combos are really fun and the 30 minutes flew by. I don't think I got too off track with this weeks workouts. I stayed pretty much on what I wanted to do, but I just felt like I needed just a little extra in the cardio department. I kept my HRM on after the cardio and all through the yoga and stretching so my total at the end was 369 calories in about 55 minutes. I'm hoping to finish out the other 2 TLT workouts tomorrow and the weekend. Have a great day. I'm off to walk Abby!! ~*~~*~ Need a new ride? Guest guest
Hi, This morning was Slow & Heavy Triceps & Biceps. I tried to increase my weights. I learned that by decreasing my reps I was able to increase my weights. I know that is like "DUH" to those of you that lift heavy, but I've always wimped out on that, but this time I tried really hard and I'm pretty proud myself! Here's how it went: TRICEPS down 2 up 3- 10 reps Overhead triceps extensions- 30/30/25Lying triceps extensions- 12/10/10kickbacks- 10/8/8 BICEPS- up 3 down 3- 8 reps Dumbbell curl- 20/20/15Hammer curl- 15/15/15Barbell curl- 35/30/30Barbell wrist curl- 20 lbsReverse wrist curl- 5 lbs I didn't do the dips because to be honest, I just don't like the exercise. I also skipped the abs because I just did abs last night. Can't do any workouts this evening. has Kindergarten blast off. We're really excited to go and see her school and meet the teachers. My arms are so shaky right now I can barely type lol Off to get Abby walked before it starts raining. Have a great day!!!! Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Guest guest
Great job !! I can't imagine using 30's for triceps. My triceps just are not that strong!!Darcy Hi, This morning I did 4 Day Split triceps and biceps. I did the triceps straight through first and repeated the same exercises over again and then did the biceps repeating each exercise twice through also, but no repeats with the band work, dips, or the triceps pushups. Doing it this way was with these two muscle groups really got me good. Almost too good, almost too much. I found myself having go much lighter than I usually would even with a bit of a rest in-between sets, not sure why. The back and chest repeats were easier then this was. Here's the way it went down: Triceps Round #1: Pyramid Up Dips on High Step Seated Overhead Extensions Pyramid Up 15/20/25/30 12/15/20/25 Round #2 : Lying Extensions -30 lb bar bell (same both sets)Lying Extensions DB 8/5Round #3: Dips Tricep Pushups Round #4: Single Arm Press Down- band Kickbacks - band Biceps: Standing Hammer Curl With Twist Pyramid Up- 10/12 (same for both) Standing Traditional Curl Pyramid Up DB 15/17 (same for both)Crazy 8s 25/12 20/10 Reverse Curls - 12/10 Incline Hammer Curls With a Twist on Stability Ball- 12 (same for both) Double Arm Seated Hammer Curl on Stability Ball DB -12 (same for both) Hanging Concentration Curls With One Hand on High Step DB- 15/12 Wrist Curls DB - 10 (same for both) As you can see I had to drop. I was literally sweating as if I had been doing cardio. Granted, I got up at 5 am and started the workout at 6 so maybe my muscles weren't ready for that, I don't know. I do know I'm glad I'm done.
