Guest guest
Hi, : I'm 5' 1 1/2 " and use a 55cm ball. I have two - one is a Stott ball which has much more " give " than my other The Firm ball (it took about a week to get that one up to size - it's so stiff). Sometimes I can't get my fingers to the floor sideways - I guess it depends on the length of your arms too. Anyway, you probably need a smaller ball. Fiona How do I know if mine is too big for me? Guest guest
Hi Carolyn! Somehow I pictured you taller than that, I don't know why. Maybe you just seem "larger than life" in your posts (and I meant that in a very complimentary way)! Anyway, I did see 45 cm balls on some websites, not many though. I'll look for a 55 cm ball and like you say, possibly underinflate it if it is still too big. I'm thinking 45 cm is probably going to be too small. I've got some free time tomorrow and will be near Target and MC Sports then so I'll see if I can find one around here before I order one. Thanks for piping in, I'm glad you did! :-) Re: Re: Shaper Ball Workout, YFP & Ball Question fiona wrote:> I'm 5' 1 1/2" and use a 55cm ball. hi nancy and fiona!im just piping in to say that im 5'2" and also use a 55cm ball.can you even buy a ball smaller than that?i think that you should try that size and maybe underinflate it a bit if it is still too large.:*carolyn. Guest guest
Hi ,The first link has 45 cm ball. They are harder to find because they are so small... The second link has a 55 cm ball, but I think it runs quite small. I have one, and I really can't imagine needing one any smaller (I also have larger ones). A plus is that it comes with a DVD, AND if the ball didn't work, you could return it to amazon http://www.balldynamics.com/fitball.phphttp://www.amazon.com/The-Firm-Stability-Ball-55cm/dp/B000H240F2/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8 & s=sporting-goods & qid=1210941514 & sr=8-1 Good luck in your search!Darcy Hi Carolyn! Guest guest
Hi Darcy, Thank you for the links! The video that comes with the Firm ball looks great (is this new for Amazon to have video clips? I've never seen one before). I'll check around today and then if I can't find one locally I'll probably just order this. Guest guest
Yes, you can get a 45cm ball, but you have to special order it from a gym supply place. That's what I got for my DD a couple of years ago (she was 4'8" at the time). Now she uses a 55cm under inflated and she is 4'11".
