Guest guest
morning all, debating whether i should try to get strendurance in today or not. the past few nights we have been playing with the we sports game. you can do the games as is or do training segments. its cool b/c you do drills for boxing like they would do just tweeked. like working the bag you keep hitting heavy bags knocking them down and you have to get as many as possible in a minute. that really keeps you going. he also throws medicine balls you have to dodge as well as punching with the "trainer" holding the mitts and you have to get as many hits(without hittng the trainer you lose points for that)in a minute as well. same deal with tennis, baseball and the bowling OMG addicting training games there. my favorite is the power bowling where every level they add more pins and you have to know down as many as possible for high score. if you get a strike they take the number of pins and x2. the pins start with the usual 10 and end with the last level being 90 pins!!! i am still debating about the WII fit b/c the games and system cost so much which will shoot up my min. payment on my best buy card. it does look so dang awesome! not just for the workouts but the games like snowboarding and kickboxing drills.but anyway my middle upper back is sore, my forearms are sore, and a little hip and shoulders are sore. not painful or overlly sore that i can't move i just dread doing such an intense workout like strendurance being sore(i am sure some of this is also from tuesday's strendurance since i went pretty heavy). going to have some more coffee before deciding. might just skip strendurance this weekend and pick up again on tuesday's schedule day. i have some pilates workouts that i need to give a whirl so may do those if after some stretching i am still dreading the workout. once you get use to the movements of the games the WII can be pretty addicting and it helps dh and i compete for high score. some movtivation to get up and move. so here is to top hoop scorer and pro boxers!!! LOL(yeah for every 1000 points you score you become a "pro" and the games get harder). kassia ldy_solana's domainScouting for All Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like.-Will

Guest guest
OMG Di my anniversary is also on may 26th. what a coincidence!!! i got a free dvd from toys r us to watch but i haven't done so yet. i just watched random vids on you tube for it. it looks fabulous though just worried about the cost. i haven't gotten the bill for the first round of stuff we bought(ie the system, games, and sports rackets). i would love to hear what you think of it though. some folks on the VF boards were upset b/c it measures BMI and all that but i think that is a option you can use you don't have to log everything in. it wouldn't bother me as much b/c i think that would be motivation and i know BMI is just a number that is not all that accurate when dealing with overall fitness. have a great one, keep up with those workouts too!kassia ldy_solana's domainScouting for All Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like.-Will From: Di Subject: Re: WII is no jokeTo: exercisevideos Date: Saturday, May 17, 2008, 11:20 AM Hi Kassia, I am asking for the WiiFit for my anniversary present which is May 26th. Guest guest
Wow You're right what a coincidence. I will be married for 18 years, can't believe it. Not sure how I feel about measuring BMI, I may just choose not to use that option, Guess I'll just wait and see. We already have a Wii system, and when they first came out bought extras and sold them on e-bay to pay for the one we have. I'm thinking about doing that for the Wii fit as well, then the expense doesn't hurt as much.
