Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I didn't workout last night - I did eat about 5 homemade chocolate chip cookies, though! After bad pizza at Chuck E. cheese. I'm okay w/ it though as I normally don't have cc cookies on hand at home and some are heading to the freezer today and some are heading to DD's school tomorrow. I also don't feel bad about missing my workout yesterday - I did decide to take a full two rest days each month - so that was my week to do it! Although whenver I rest for more than one day, I'm really stiff when I start back up. when we take our vacation in July I'm definately brining along my T-Tapp and some of my 10 Min Solutions - so I can get in 10-20 minutes in the hotel rooms. We're driving across country (not the best time to do it w/ gas prices, but I don't see them ever returning to $1.50/gallon either, so maybe this is the best time to do it before it is $7/gallon!) Anyway, today's workout was Dozois Breakthrough Body Circuit - this is a good one! I have the cardio workout from this series, and I would like to get the strength training workout from this series as well - I wonder if Deep Discount has it yet...... This one is your typical circuit of alternating cardio with strength. has the workout broken down like this: Circuit 1 - cardio, back & biceps Circuit 2 - cardio, chest & triceps Circuit 3 - cardio, back & Biceps Circuit 4 - cardio, chest & triceps Circuit 5 - cardio, legs & shoulders Circuit 6 - cardio, legs Circuit 7 - abs The cardio combos are all athletic and don't take up a huge amount of space. One modifier shows lower impact options. You can make this harder by putting more into it and doing all the advanced options. The strength portions do allow for the use of heavier weights - I used my 15's alot during this workout! But, does a good job of mixing it up with both traditional, functional (compound movements, rotational and balance challenges) and work using a resitance band. It is a really good blend and variety. Ab work is sort of Pilates inspired. I finished up by doing and York's Breakthru Pilates Plus Yoga Segment - just some gentle yoga stretches. I enjoy almost all of 's work and I like the workouts that she did with York as well as the Shape workouts taht she did with and Wheeler. All are recommended!I warmed up with T-Tapp doing Primary Back Stretch twice - I was really stiff!Tomorrow is cardio, but I'm not sure what I'm up for just yet...I think it will depend on sleep. As predicited, my dog had trouble sleeping last night and both she and DH woke me up when he got in after midnight, but my extra rest day this week must have done some good b/c I had a pretty good level of energy this morning. Take care! Donna
