Guest guest
This sounds great ! Sounds like a good plan for you to not do the cardio on your very early day too. Love the kitty with the yarn at the bottom! Tuesday workout Hi, This morning was supposed to be cardio, but I've decided to switch it up and do legs on Tuesday's this month instead of the scheduled cardio. I usually have to get up quite early (5 am) and get my workout in on Tuesday's so I'm choosing to not struggle with cardio and do legs instead. So this morning I did B & G leg blast... We also had calves down for today. I decided to include them right into this workout. There are a couple exercises that I don't care for and don't really feel that great of a burn so I did calve raises for both these exercises. Here's how it went: Walking lunges (I used this as my warm up with no weight)Lunge/squat comboWalking lunges- 5'sLeg presses- 10'sForward thrusting hammer punch lunges (did calves instead)Leg presses- 10'sOne legged squats- 8'sSide to side thrusting hammer punch lunges (did calves instead)One legged squats- 8'sFirewalkersWalking lunges- 5'sFirewalkersWalking lunges- 5'sLunge squat comboLow pulse lunges- 8'sLunge squat combo This workout really got me good. She doesn't take ANY breaks or stretches in between any of the exercises. Since it's a premix it just goes right to the next segment. I didn't take any stretches so my legs continued to burn through out the entire workout lol I was not liking those one leg squats. I was so glad she didn't do those a million times through. If she had, I think I would've had to do another set of calve raises lol What I love about this workout is that I don't have to mess with a bar bell or heavy weights. I can use my 5's and 8's and still get an awesome leg workout. Even though she does a lot of repeating I think this is one of my favorite leg routines. Got thunderstorms this morning so no walking Abby. Have a great day ~~ Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch "Cooking with Tyler Florence" on AOL Food. Guest guest
Great job ! Goos idea to switch it up w/ legs instead of cardio as well. I think you've made a wise choice there :)Darcy Hi, This morning was supposed to be cardio, but I've decided to switch it up and do legs on Tuesday's this month instead of the scheduled cardio. Guest guest
Great going, ! I may end up doing this one for this rotation, I like Slo Mo, but I don't know if I'm getting enough in terms of variety with it......I was thinking of doing this one or legs & glutes for one of my leg days to mix it up. Take care, Donna Subject: Tuesday workoutTo: exercisevideos , firmies4life Date: Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 7:36 AM Hi, This morning I did Pure Strength Strong Legs & Abs. I didn't do the abs since I just done those last night. I'll probably do them from this workout this evening. My shoulders are killing me. They are really sore in the front area and weird, but my back muscles are sore too, but not my chest or triceps. go figure.... Here's how today's workout went Lunges- front & back - warm up set- 10 lbs set 2- 15 lbs Barbell static lunges- 30 lbs ( 2 sets) Alternating plie squats- body bar ( 1 set) plie squats- 35 lbs bar bell ( 1 set) step ups- 15 lbs ( 2 sets) squats- 35 lbs ( 1 set) sit and stand - 35 lbs ( 1 set) quarter dead lift- 35 lb ( 1 set) calves- ( 3 sets) floor work: inner thighs- ( 3 sets) (12 lb body bar) Outer thigh- (2 sets) ( 12 lb body bar) these hurt! hamstring work I really like this workout because she doesn't fly through all the exercises. She takes her time in-between each set and that gives me a chance to stretch out and grab a quick drink of water. I also think (if I wanted to) I could increase my weight when I wanted to just for the fact that I know I'll have that break. Its hard to believe we're already in our 3rd week of this rotation. It seems like it just started. time is going way too fast for me. Weather is finally really nice and I was able to turn the a/c off and open a few windows. ) Have a great day! ~~ Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars.
