Next time I say I don't have time to workout, remind me I actually fit one in today! (If you're committed, you're committed or maybe that is you should be committed if you're really committed)! I did the intense cardio workout from Next Step ( Dozois for Weight Watchers). I can't remember what it is called but there's another workout on the disc called Core Cardio or something like that. Anyway, this was 20 minutes of cardio. Simple enough choreography that even I didn't feel like a total clod, just sometimes. This is the first workout I've done from this disc (there are 5, the others are upper body, lower body and something else too...). All of them are 20 minutes. I burned 113 calories in 20 minutes, my first time doing the workout so for me, I'd say that was really good! It had my heart rate way up there for most of the workout too. I was very sweaty and it all just felt great! There was a short warm-up and a 2.5 minute cool down and stretch. She teaches several combos and builds on them at a reasonable pace. I really enjoyed this. The whole disc is recommended for intermediate exercisers and judging from this one and what I've seen of the others I'd say that is right. My timer just went off telling me to jump back up (I sat down for about 10 or 15 minutes after taking my shower) and pack the meal I made for some friends, then I have to get their address out and be ready to walk out the door to drop it off and go to work part 2 as soon as DH gets here! The strength workouts are compound exercises and I noticed some moves I haven't seen before so I can't wait to try the rest! 20 minutes of high intensity is just right for me on my rush around like a crazy person days (too many of those this week too). The hard work helps to center and relax me and the time amount is just right for when I don't have enough time to put in a longer workout.
