thursday: cardio pump/twisted ankle

it is thursday and cardio pump day...decided to try my adidas again and

ended up tripping and falling about 3/4 through the workout--part of it

was fatigue and the rest i blame on those sneakers getting caught on

the rug and tripping me up. i got right up and finished the workout but

i know it is going to be sore for a few days. ice and ibuprofen for a

couple of days. hoping to be able to go to turbo kick or run on

sunday...we'll see.

owie. i be careful about working out with it. dh twisted his ankle took weeks before he was 100%. even if it feels okay it might not be all the way healed. hopefully it was just a slight pull and you will be okay in a day or two(i myself have done that tripping over my step when really tired). hope it will only take a couple of days to heal--but i guess it's a

waiting game at this point. natalie is going to be one who is going

to be upset--i carry that girl (25+pounds) a lot.

Sorry to hear you are injured, Stacey. Rest and recover, girl. You can come over to the couch with me, and we'll watch everyone else workout for a few days. We won't critique too badly...LOL

i love the couch--my kids never let me rest!! but if i went to your

house they couldn't find me:) lol!! how much longer do you think you

will be on the sidelines?

Hey Stacey, there's lots of room on my couch (when the kids are at school!).

I don't know how much longer I'll be sidelined - everything I've read said

from a few days to a week. My hip is still sore though, so I'll just go by

that.

Yesterday I did the AM Stretch with Madeleine - so nice. Ahhh. Today

I worked upper body with Cathe's slow and heavy chest and back. Skipped the

deadlifts, though, as they hurt my hip. However, it's good to still be

working out, even at a modified level. Tomorrow I'll do the S and H

shoulders, and some abs, and a good stretch. If I need to, I'll just do

upper body weights for as long as it takes. :-)

I think this will make me a firm believer in a rest day every week.

i rested it as much as possible yesterday. it is feeling a little

stiff this morning so i will take it easy today. i could do some

upper body today--does lifting the baby count?! lol!!

i'm feeling much better, thank-you:) i was very lucky it was only a

minor injury. looking forward to going to cardio pump this week in my

new asics:)

didn't make it to turbo kick this weekend instead i worked on

slimmimg the house down. we have too much stuff and not enough room

for people!!
