Guest guest
I went with a virgin, the Slanted Risers Interval Workout with Spreen. This is the first I've heard of this workout. I love Kimbery Spreen so any workout of hers I think I'd like. Great job! ~*~ ~*~Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars. Guest guest
Hi , I really like Spreen too and she was great in this but it was clearly a workout meant to give you an idea of what the tool (the slanted risers) could do and not to really give you a good workout which I found a bit frustrating. I can't fault her too much because I'm sure she was given limits to work in from the manufacturer because the DVD came with the risers (sort of like a video instruction manual, I guess). I'm hoping to find other workouts designed to take advantage of them, but not necessarily directly from the manufacturer, and that they'll be more effective. I have previewed the other 2 workouts on the DVD though and the strength one looks more interesting (less of a let's try to put everything you can do into one 30 minute workout) and the cardio looks more intense and complicated (Rob Glick leads it, I haven't done one of his workouts yet, but I've heard about them and I can see this one will probably be challenging for me). We'll see how those go when I get to them. Guest guest
Hi and , I think this is pretty typical of workouts that come with a piece of equipment - they're not quite as good as an independent workout - it is more like you said, , of showing how to use the equipment. Still, it was great that you got a workout in! It is challenging to stick with a workout plan with the kids home for the summer!Take care, Donna Subject: Re: Monday: Slanted Risers Interval WorkoutTo: exercisevideos Date: Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 8:36 AM Hi , I really like Spreen too and she was great in this but it was clearly a workout meant to give you an idea of what the tool (the slanted risers) could do and not to really give you a good workout which I found a bit frustrating. Guest guest
The workout plan has gotten too challenged this week unfortunately. Will try again more next week, when I'm more adjusted and hopefully more rested too. At least I tried!
