it was called G2 Fitness by Hedstrom(the moms may notice this one with backyard playgroud equipment). they were getting rid of them cheap b/c now they only sell altus product but they are good to. fwonline.com has some you can look over and just call and see if they carry them(saves on shipping LOL). its not that anti burst is a must but know wal-mart,target and even dick's sporting goods here doesn't carry the smaller sizes. kassia

Yep, I know Hedstrom. I was pretty sure the stores wouldn't carry a smaller size. Bummer. Thanks again for the help!

always worth a look though. stores here have really scaled down with fitness stuff b/c nobody does it or they go to the gym. almost everything now is younger kids sports stuff and overpriced workout clothing(i am reffering to dicks, i don't care what brand or how well made no pair of pants is worth $70!!!)kassia ldy_solana's domainScouting for All Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t

I will still have a look, just in case. Just won't a make a special trip (like I'll check Target next time I'm there anyway). I don't even bother with Dick's most of the time, they're way too expensive. One opened up near us and I went in there looking for yoga stuff or weights and was just amazed at their prices. I crossed them off my list unless they are the only place I can find something and that I can't get it cheaper (with shipping) on the internet. There's a Play It Again Sports across the street from where I work on Wednesdays so I'll have to check in there next week.

,

Sorry I'm late, but I just wanted to let you know that if you get a 55cm ball, you can under inflate it so that it is the right height for you. I never blow up a ball to the exact height because we have so many different sized people using them at the gym. When I blow one up for someone specific, I use them as the guide. I have them sit on it at various heights until I get it to the right one for them. Usually I guess low a couple of times first. LOL Anyway, you want the tops of your thighs to be parallel to the floor when you are sitting with your knees bent at 90 degrees and your feet flat on the floor.

New stability ball question

Okay, I've definitely realized my ball is much too large for me. So now I'm shopping for a new one and am wondering what size to get.

I'm just under 5' tall (officially, I'm 4'11 3/4"). My legs are pretty proportional to my height (as in not very long).

What size would be ideal for me for most ball workouts? I'm seeing 55" as pretty standard for about 5' to 5'7". I'm concerned that because I'm right at the very low end of that range that this size ball would be too large. That is my usual experience with ranges like that anyway. Am I wrong?

Thanks for your advice!
