Guest guest
I already replied to this one but I think I'll third the "just do it" suggestion. I do have to force myself sometimes but I'm so glad when I do! I also just thought about the fact that if I have "scheduled" a particular day to be cardio (like for most of my P90 rotation MWF was cardio, then I switched it at some point to TThS) then I know it is a cardio day and that's it, no argument. If I don't have a lot of energy than I allow myself to pick a more moderate/slower paced workout but I still have to do cardio. Also, scheduling particular videos seems helpful to me. For about 2 weeks of P90 I wasn't doing the P90 cardio workouts because of the high impact moves and the fact that I was waiting for new shoes to come in (my feet were really hurting). I knew which days were cardio and I also planned which videos I would use as substitutes for the P90 cardio workout. It was a psychological "game" to make it really easy for me to do a cardio workout and really hard to switch to something I enjoy more. Now that P90 is almost over, I want to keep using similar techniques (TThS will be cardio days most likely and I'll try to plan my workouts for at least each week) to keep myself in the very positive routines P90 helped me to get into. getting geared up for cardio Hi!I'll add in that I do what does - I makemyself do it. I workout first thing in the morning,so cardio is a bit hard to get geared up for mostdays. I used to be a cardio fiend - in fact, I didn'tstrength train at all until 10 years ago - but now Ifind that I need to push myself to do cardio more thanweights! I think part of it is the a.m. thing, I maybe more motivated to do cardio after I'm up forawhile! That said, I "just do it"! I think I lovecircuit workouts so much b/c I get a little strengthand a little cardio and the time flies by!Donna--- Stuparyk <stuparyksympatico (DOT) ca> wrote:> Calories burned. Guest guest
another thing one should remember with cardio though it to find something that works and you enjoy. i love running(although i haven't done it in long while), kickboxing, dance and hi-lo, and some step thrown in for fun. some ppl can't stand dance some can't/don't do step,so i can see how it could be hard to motivate to get cardio in. just find something and give yourself at least 10-15 min and build up from there. on days i can't decide i usually do a cardio/weight circuit workout. kassia
