Anyway, I woke up with both hips really sore and mild shin splints in both legs so I decided to just do some yoga today instead of Walk Your Way Slim. I know I could have followed the beginner modifier and not done any impact stuff but I know myself too well and I wouldn't have followed her so I did yoga to be safe! I used the practice for hips on the 30 minute + beginner menu from Yoga Complete for Every Body (can't remember the title). I have already more than gotten my money's worth from that DVD. If I couldn't have any other yoga DVD or tape I think this one would be the one I would choose because there's so many different practices for different moods and physical conditions. Anyway, the yoga felt really good but I think I need to do it again! I have to leave for work in a few minutes but I if I have time later I might actually do it again! I've taken some ibuprofen and will ice my shins this afternoon too. No jogging tomorrow, but possibly Thursday or Friday I'll try again, this time with running shoes on. I'm not sure it was the cross trainers that were the problem but I'd like to find out. I'm not sure if running is for me or not yet. I don't like having my hips talk back so much! :-)
