Do you ever have days where you just don't bring it with you to your workout? I had one of those today (but am fine, it is what it is). I had some more stress this morning, this time with my daughter not feeling 100% and I have to work today. I could bring her but didn't want to and also didn't want to send her to school sick. She was a tiny bit warm so I gave her some Tylenol and within about 40 minutes she was definitely more enthusiastic and energetic. She put on her coat and asked me when I would be ready to drive her to school! That made me feel a lot better (less mommy guilt) so off we went. (My son was also TONS better than he was yesterday, starting last night... I think he had to just hit a wall in his frustration that he's been dealing with for a while now and get a strong reaction back for inappropriate expressions of it and now he just seems like most of the cloud over him lifted, I hope it lasts.) Anyway, I was in my workout clothes so just had to pop the tape in and get going once I arrived home and I did that but had to change from P90 Cardio 3-4 to 1-2 because I had less time than I'd thought I would. Turned out that was a good thing. Between being on high alert for most of the morning and just not 100% myself anyway (like 98.5% or something like that) I could not bring a lot of energy to my workout. I had on my own music but it is a cd I haven't listened to in years and I forgot there is a lot of slow stuff on it so that kind of interfered with my energy level at times (I won't be using it again I don't think). Anyway, I did everything, including some things at a faster pace than Tony & the kids because the pace here is a lot slower than 3-4 and I really did want to push myself as hard as I could (mentally I did, physically it just wasn't happening like I would have wanted but that's okay as long as it is just one day). Ab Ripper 100 comes on immediately after the stretch so I went with that and again, it was truly about all I could take. I started while he was instructing and did 20 of the first set of crunches, then 15 or so of the next few but then just doing 10 of each of the rest felt like a big accomplishment! I was very glad for the stretch at the end and just wanted to stay in child's pose all day! I was laughing about my yoga instructor telling us that when she's having a rough time she'll often go into her room and just sit in child's pose for as long as she needs to. I could just picture my husband walking in and seeing me like that! He'd be so worried about or else would just say, "What are you doing?" in an incredulous voice! Well, anyway, after my shower I felt a lot better and was really happy that I'd done a workout anyway and that I did feel I'd done pretty much as well as I could have done with it. I hope tomorrow will be better but at least I did something and will deal with tomorrow's workout when I get there.

(hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go!)
