Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I inadvertantly ended up with a Kathy Theme week! Today I pulled out her New Yoga workout (the intermediate level one). I have two of her yoga workouts, this one and the advanced one. Rod Stryker was Kathy's consultant for these workouts. In the one I did today he does some voice over cueing during a sun salutation series and some breathing at the end. In the advanced one he leads the workout with Kathy. Anyway, this is a very nice basic yoga session - not so much a "flow" as individual postures. I am spoiled by some of the Body Wisdom titles, and would actually like it if the poses were held longer. But all in all this is a good, "standard" yoga routine with a good emphasis on form and alignment. THere are two parts to the workout - standing postures and floor postures. There is a short relaxation after the standing postures and a longer relaxation after the floor postures. The relaxation is actually quite good - the only thing bad about it is on my copy (VHS) it goes from this nice quite music to a louder advertisement for other Body Vision titles. The scenery is sort of this fake beach, but I like the music on this one - sort of new-agey. Kathy is good in this one - calm, 'normal" nothing weird coming out of her mouth! LOL! Tomorrow is strength/circuit. I may end the week by doing Kathy's Project:You circuit workout. I actually wish I had done a little cardio today, but I woke up kinda late. Right now the floor in my foyer is being torn up and it is LOUD. I do have to gripe about these guys -they were giving me grief over having to tear up the old floor (slate)- they wanted to lay the tiles on top of it?! I don't mean to be a b*tch, but didn't they epxect that tearing up an old floor would be hard work? And, get this, they didn't bring goggles and shards of slate are flying into their eyes - what professional shows up on a job where you would be tearing up a floor without goggles??? Scary stuff. I'll be happy when all this indoor work is completed. The only other thing I want to do indoors is some minor bath renovations. Everything else is outside, and will be waiting until next year anyway. Take care!Donna Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.
