Guest guest
It took me 2 months to lose 4 pounds, and at times I really felt like I wouldn't be able to do it, so I celebrated by buying some exercise videos and equipment I've been putting off buying as incentive for working to get my focus back. I know 4 pounds sounds like nothing to some people, but for me it really is significant especially because my attitude had gotten pretty lazy. I'd gotten right up to my "red zone" where I have to change my behaviors and mental attitude otherwise I'll just keep gaining. Getting the mental attitude back was the hardest part and I had to force the behaviors for a while until the attitude came along for the ride. Anyway, when I hit my red mark I told myself I could buy some videos and equipment when I got back to my ideal weight but not until then. I'm here again and feel confident about staying here (my attitude is really on now otherwise I wouldn't celebrate because I wouldn't be confident about staying) so I finally made some exercise purchases I've been waiting to make until I got back to this point. Many thanks to many of you for your input to some of my questions, you helped me make some of these decisions and I'm really excited about them. It is HUGE for me to actually spend this much money (about $125) on fitness stuff all at once. I NEVER spend that much money on "non-essential gifts" for myself (which is how I see these things) but I'm using birthday money so that makes it easier. Anyway, here's what I've got coming soon: 1. Slanted risers for my club step 2. Power Yoga for Happiness (Eoinn Finn) 3. Get Moving - Walking for Weight Loss (Madeline ) 4. Basic Step + Body Fusion (Cathe Friedrich) 5. 10 Minute Solution Carb and Calorie Burner ( Dozois) 6. Ho Ala Ke Kino - Awaken the Body (Tony Horton) That's it for now! I still really want to get Jari Love's Get Ripped, Ripped to the Core, Slim & Lean, Get Ripped 1000 and possibly Get Ripped & Chiseled and will probably purchase at least some of those soon. I'm also still planning/considering buying the P90 Masters Series. I am almost done with P90 and really need a break from it. I'm thinking I will commit the money to the masters series when I know I'm more ready to take it on for a 12 week rotation. Right now, the last thing I want is another 12 week rotation but we'll see how long that lasts because I really do like the results I'm getting from P90. I need some play time first because I'm finding when I commit to a rotation, I really like to do just the videos that are part of the rotation and not play so much with others. I need to play with my new stuff and some others I've acquired but haven't done yet (mostly from freecycle thankfully so no guilt). I'm really excited about all of these purchases though and will post my reviews when I do them!
