This time it was lower body.We started on the upright stationery bikes. Easy enough. Or so I thought..We did 2 minute intervals, pedaling normally at level 10, but then upping it to level 15 and keeping it at 80 or more rpm for 2 minutes. We did three sets of those, and my quads were nice and warm after that! I burned 150 calories at that alone.Next we used a step with three risers and did step ups with a glute/leg extension, 15 reps on the right leg, then 15 on the left. I used 10 lbs, but she used 20! 10 lbs was plenty challenge for me, as I have terrible balance. After that we did 30 side lunges off the step. Repeat all that 3 times.Next were there sit down like at a carnival ride machines were you leg extensions for the quad, and the other one you do contractions for the hamstrings. Three sets of 15. The extension ones were hard because we did them on one leg. It's kind of hard to describe so I hope you get the picture.After that was the squat machine where you lay back at an angle and push up heavy weights with your feet on this platform thing. Basically, it's a reverse squat - same exercise as a squat standing up like in video, but you're laying down and pushing the weight up.Lastly were the good ole abductor/adductor machines. I used 70 lbs, she used 90(!) and we did 3 sets of 15 on each machine. Tomorrow will be a rest day unless I get the urge to run and do yoga. I'm still sore from Turbo Sport yesterday, especially in my abs, so I really need to rest because I'm teaching the same thing on Saturday and Sunday!Hugs, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
