Guest guest
Tess, Here is a post from my guru - Dianne from FitFirmies, it mentions a downloadable book for kettlebell workouts - something you might consider! Take care, Donna Subject: [FitFirmies] conditioning quandaryTo: firmies4life , FitFirmies Date: Wednesday, June 4, 2008, 1:27 PM Today is conditioning day. Last night I paged through Dave Whitley's "101 KB Workouts" (a generous free download book.) I saw a lot of good possibilities, but couldn't quite attach myself to any of them. This morning (while lying in bed) I came up with the bright idea of aiming for a previously unattained 50000 lb volume of swings. In my own defense, I was still half asleep. I think my previous high has been 35,000 (and that was a grip challenge toward the end), so 50,000 is a stretch. With the 35 lb KB, it would take about 90 minutes using grip-sparing 15 seconds on/15 seconds off intervals. I still don't think I'd make it. So, I'm attempting it in Grease The Groove, with intervals throughout the day. I'll also have a prolonged condensed session this afternoon. I got a late start at noon. I'm wearing my interval timer and have it set to beep at 15 minute intervals. So far I'm doing 40 rep sets, which is about the limit beyond which I start sweating enough to need to mop up afterward. Oh, it's gonna be a long day; I've only got 7000 lb volume so far. All in the name of Peak Week. I just realized that since I'll be doing floor press and inverted rows, I could actually decrease the swing volume to account for the strength volume. I just may do that! Dang, if I were doing pullups today, it would double the strength volume... Dianne G.____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ ___ Click for free info on college degrees.
