Guest guest Posted April 1, 2008 Report Share Posted April 1, 2008 I've been trying to catch up on my back log of emails and having quite a bit of fun with it. Then I remembered I didn't post what I did today. I like to post for my own accountability so here it is: I had to take DS to school today because we had another "issue" to deal with (I hope he gets all this crap over with soon, I'm not looking forward to his teenage years at this moment, he was trying VERY hard today and seemed like his normal little boy sweetness again so I'm really hoping that stays around again) and I couldn't get my workout in before work so that meant I had to get creative. I could either workout after work (after lunch) before the kids got home from school (I'd have about 2.5 hours) or in the evening, when I'm most likely to not do it at all. During and for a while after lunch I watched Power Yoga for Happiness (which I just got today, I was so giddy when I saw it had arrived) and decided that I had to get my P90 workout in so that MAYBE I'd have time for PYFH in the evening. That was a silly idea but it did motivate me to at least get in my P90 workout so I can finish this rotation and do some playing soon! Today was Sculpt so I did 3-4. I seem very focused on pushups lately and am really working hard at those. I think I did about 70 during the course of this workout which is the most I've done so far in one workout. I'm up to 12 on my toes (and many more on my knees) at a time, including decline pushups (with my feet on a chair and my hands on the ground). I did 7 really good tricep pushups on my knees too (I got less focused on those for a while and am back to working at them). I didn't do an evening workout but I did get this workout in and changed my clothes with just 10 minutes before the kids came in the door from the bus! I felt SO awesome for just getting down to business and doing it. Tomorrow is my short day (have to leave for work by 10, get home around 2 and then have to leave for school for Brownies meeting at 3:30 until 5). My workout has to happen in the morning because there is no way I'll do it in the evening after all that. I won't have a lot of time between getting the kids on the bus and showering (and no, getting up even earlier than I already do is not an option) so I'll have to do Cardio 1-2 and hopefully have time for Ab Ripper 100. This one bores me now that I've gotten so proficient with 3-4 but I can put a lot of effort into it anyway and make it worthwhile. I don't want to sub something that isn't P90 at this point. I'm soooo close to being done that it just feels better to pump up the intensity on my own with1-2 instead of subbing in something else. (Today was Day 83. No matter where you are in the world, you'll hear me hollering with joy next Tuesday, assuming there are no interruptions between now and then!) Off to get ready for bed.
