Hi!

I did another fun Christi workout this morning. This one really got some mixed reviews, but my experience with it was positive. Although I'm not sure that it is "functional" as much as funky! :) Anyway, the body of the workout is floor cardio - I'd say on the lighter, but not easy side (I sweated!) - I guess I'd say it is a good solid moderate workout. Not a Cathe or an Amy, but I wasn't looking for that this morning. I found the floor cardio routine to be generally pretty easy to follow - the combos were repeated enough to get a feel for them, but not too much so that it became boring of repettive. No taking it from the top - once you mastered a sequence you moved on. It was more low impact than most of Christi's other workouts and often focused on lower to the ground movements to raise your hr and work you legs a little bit. Music was pretty good, too.

After the cardio which is probably the bulk of the workout time - it was on to some strength work - all done w/out weights. I questioned my wisdom in doing this part since I had done strength work for my legs the previous day, but I really wanted to just do this workout in its entirety to get a real feel for it. The first series of exercises is what felt like tons of plie squats (this may just be my perception from having done Slo Mo legs yesterday) using different hand and foot positions (heels up, heels down, etc.). She does 3 sets of this - in between sets she does some core work - planks and modified push-ups. After this it is on to the floor for some ab and back/hamstring work. All of this was pretty good - not enough to do as a stand alone, but fine to do w/ the cardio. Christi's son provided drum music for this section and the final stretch.

I then added on Trish Muse's Strength Attack functional stretch section. Pretty good, basic athletic stretching. You can see that Trish is more of a Physical Therapist than a video star as she explains everything in a detailed manner (about what you're stretching) and she holds the stretches for much longer than most video instructors. All in all, pretty good stuff here for a stretch section to add on. I will, at some point, get to the rest of this one. I may do the core section tomorrow w/ my weights or maybe I'll add it on to Friday's cardio.

Anyway, I did a good job considering I didn't sleep well last night (I was feeling stressed about some things) and I was tired. I felt better after working out though. I also did my T-Tapp primary back stretch to warm up.

Take care!Donna

Awesome! i think that i have this one in my rental queue... i

should move it up closer to the top of my list.

it sounds like it wont be too much choreo for me, and i like that

it is more on the low impact side.

sounds great, thanks for your comments,

:*carolyn.
