Actually did an afternoon workout! (FIRM & 10 Min Solution)

Hi!

I actually worked out this afternoon, for whatever reason I didn't feel like

doing my early morning worokut this morning - I was sure I " d end up missing,

but after church I snuck downstairs and did Firm's Ultimate Fat Blaster (Is that

the title?) the new-ish one w/ . Anyway, this was a decent workout

- although, it doesn't live up to the hype in its Collage description as being

as tough as the legendary '90's FIRMs. It is still worthwhile to get some

cardio and a little bit of light sculpting. The workout alternates between

weighted cardio combos (that provide a bit of toning benefit as well) and

non-weighted combos - there are two of each, so 4 combos total. The workout

ends with a standing ab routine, some push-ups and a stretch. Not a bad way to

spend 40 minutes! It isn't crazily high impact. I went light on weights (3's)

b/c I plan on doing weight training tomorrow - I'm going to conquer Amy's Cardio

Pump Step. This is the one

I'm most afraid of b/c I think Amy's step is tricky, but it is a short section

(only 2 combos) so I should be okay. I plan to add on ab work and a stretch

from her Abs & Stretch DVD (i hope to have time to do both abs and the stretch -

if not, I may do the stretch after I drop DD off at camp - I'm home tomorrow -

my poor DH is having a routine colonscopy - yuck - I'm not looking forward to

having to undergo that test any time soon - not so much the test as the prep for

it...). Anyway, I have to say, Deep Discount's shipping has become much faster,

I received 4 of the 6 DVDs I ordered on Monday yesterday. The other 2 are on

back order)

Oh, I forgot that I added on T-Tapp's Primary Back Stretch to warm-up and I did

Amy Bento's 10 Min Solution for abs and a stretch after my FIRM workout. I was

only interrupted by DH, DD and the dog a few times during this afternoon's

workout. I hate interruptions, which I guess is why I get up at 4:30!

The rest of the week I'm planning Amy's workouts - here is what I plan to do,

some may be subject to change if I feel like I can't handle all the impact and

such:

Monday _ Cardio Pump Step - Abs & Stretch Segment

Tuesday - Amy Cardio - possibly her new CIA workout, In the Ring, or Kickbox

Extreme

Wed - All Pump - (and since this is shorter some segments from Amy's 10 Min

Solution to round it out)

Thurs - Amy Cardio - whatever I didn't do on Tuesday

Friday - Cardio Pump Hi/Lo - Abs & Stretch Segment

I think since I'm home tomorrow I'm going to start thinking about packing for my

trip - I HATE packing and I hate the fact that I have to pack for two now! GRRR!

(Well, 2 1/2 - I have to help DH, too sometimes!)

Hi Donna,

Sounds like a good plan! All the talk of the Firm workouts has been

pretty helpful for me. I scored a bunch of them at Goodwill

yesterday. Since I didn't have any Firm workouts before, I had a

good selection to pick from at the thrift stores, lol!

Your week of Amy sounds good! Good luck with the cardio - I envy

your ability (and courage, lol) with complex aerobic workouts! ;)
