Wow Donna, she is going to camp? this must be her first year, right?

I can't believe it. Seems like yesterday that you were pregnant and she was born!

I remember the camp days....now my son is 16, YIKES and doesn't need camp.

She will do fine. It's fun!

Hi Everyone,

Okay, it has been a rough day (as evidenced by my blank message!). I got up to workout a little before 5 and I heard DD's door open - she was scared and wanted me to come in her room for awhile. I sighed and went into her room with her - she laid awake for about an hour and then we decided to get up and go downstairs - she would watch something on TV while I did my workout. I think she is nervous about going to camp next week - I know she'll be fine once she gets there and it is normal be be apprehensive about a new situations. Heck, I'm nervous about sending her - mostly b/c it is going to be a long day for her - and I'm anxious to see how she does with it. Oh, the rest of my day didn't go much better w/ a long conference call and work that resulted from it (all of which needed to be done "yesterday"!)

Anyway, back to the workout - Amy's Slo Mo Back & Shoulders split was up for today. I felt that I understood the workout better this time around - in terms of positioning for the exercises and felt like I got a good workout in this morning. I confess, I still don't love doing splits - I like total body workouts or circuits/functional routines better. But, this is only for a month - I'll make it! :) I think when I come back from vacation in mid-July I'm going to do a FIRM rotation - that should really change things up!

After Amy's workout, I did the Quickblast DVD that came w/ Tracey Mallett's book. I did the abs and the mind/body workout. The abs segment used a stability ball and accomplished quite a bit in 6 minutes - the mind/body routine was standard yoga postures - also pretty good in six minutes. I really would like to get the rest of the DVDs that are out - I've been looking high and low at Ross but to no avail. Knowing I can get them there makes me not want to buy them elsewhere b/c Ross has the best price by far (I think $4.99 or $5.99). I saw that Deep Discount is going to carry something called Quick Blast - it is a bit pricey for Deep Discount, so I wonder if it is her two released DVDs plus her two soon-to-be released DVDs (I think I read at VF that she is putting together two more quickblast DVDs to be released in August/Sept). I hope what is at Deep Discount is all 4 DVDs, b/c for sure I'll get it! I love worouts that are segmented like that - they provide great add ons and a nice varied routine if you do the DVD in its entirety.

Okay - enough rambling. I have lots of e-mail reading to catch up on.

Tomorrow is cardio but I'm not sure what I'll be up for. I actually don't feel 100% today - not sure if it is from being tired and stressed or just something else. I was kind of queasy all day - and I have the premenstrual fatigue foggy head thing going - it is probably TOM coming to visit. UGH! :)

Take care,
