That sound you heard earlier this afternoon was me sucking big time wind as I worked through this 20 minute workout!

Holy cow!! This was serious fun and serious work! I'll try to write down the sequence of moves another time but my heart rate averaged 77% of max and I burned 150 calories. Even the strength and abs work felt like cardio! I had to use 3 lb. weights for the entire thing and at one point they were REALLY heavy. Thankfully Jillian said "only 5 more" at that point or I would have put them down. One thing I really like about these workouts is that most of the strength work (all of it in level 2) is compound movements. One exercise was military presses while doing leg extensions. So you've got your arms and shoulders working, your legs and your core trying to keep you balanced. Loved it! A lot of things were in plank position too so my shoulders really feel tired. There's an exercise where you are in plank and do what she called "plank jacks." Your arms stay stationary but you jump your legs in and out like in jumping jacks. The beginner modifier showed this by moving one leg out and back in and then the other with no explosive movements or pounding. I was able to follow the advanced modifier through the entire workout (which surprised me) but wow was I glad to be done when it was over.

Gotta go to work soon. This is the meeting where I'm a receptionist. If our attendance isn't up this week we'll be going down to 2 receptionists which means we'll probably rotate who works which weeks. Most of the time it means whoever is the 3rd receptionist on the list (in this case, me) wouldn't work until there was a need for 3 again. We're all good friends though and love working together so we just rotate among the 3 of us which means I might end up working less this summer but will still make some money. I don't mind too much either, I wouldn't mind a break every so often!

I should have Austin's Indoor Walk in my mailbox from netflix. I might do that tomorrow instead of the Crunch Latin whatever I had put down. Finally have what should be a quiet day tomorrow (nothing planned yet anyway) so that will be really nice.

Woo-Hoo, ! I knew you'd do just fine with level 2 - and you did

better than fine, lol. I'm glad you had so much fun with it, too. I

can't say that I had fun with Shred, but hopefully it will be a bit

easier for me next week. Of course, I'm sure I'll be doing all the

modifiers, and then some. :)

You'll have to compare that Austion walk to 's style and

let us know what you think. Of course, you'll prob do it on the

rebounder now that you're all converted, lol.

Keep up the great work!

Sara

I couldn't believe it was actually fun! I think pushing myself that hard is what was fun. Masochist? Me? Possibly.

I was going to do today and then got up REALLY late and had tons to do and now it is almost 8:00 and I'm digesting dinner so no workout today. I'm actually okay with that too. I have considered doing on the rebounder, especially the "Easy" walk but decided I'll probably do it on the floor just because I do want to compare it to 's workouts.

If I have time tomorrow I'll do it then. I'm subbing for a leader in the morning, then going to a huge community garage sale afterwards, then going to my best friend's house for her monthly scrapbooking workshop. If I don't have time, I'll be okay and will probably just do it Sunday instead.
