Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm taking advantage of this recovery week by sleeping in a bit longer - as a result, I don't have quite as much time as I normally do to exercise - but that is okay - it is back to the grind next week. Anyway, for this morning, I needed something shorter so I went w/ Crunch's Joy of Yoga w/ Sara Ivanhoe. This is a great non-intimidating "bright" yoga practice. It isn't strenuous, so it is good for when you just need some extra stretching. Sara's instruction is good and this one would be great for a yoga newbie as it is very down-to-earth and non-mystical/non-intimidating. The set is also very bright which adds to the easy going feel to this one. It is around 30 minutes, maybe a tad longer - so it is good for days when you are short on time. The DVD also includes Crunch's Fat BurningYoga (also lead by Sara) and it is well chaptered. I may have to do Fat Burning Yoga soon - it has been awhile. As I recall it is more strenuous with a vinyasa flow series, but it has been a while since I did it - so..... As I was glancing through my DVD notebook I realized that I need to put together a trade/sale list soon. I have way too many DVDs that aren't being used. I think part of the problem, at least with the ones I was glancing through today (yoga, Pilates, dance) is that I don't really have as much time to fit these in anymore and I think I can slim my collection down to just include a few "must haves" for days when I need these workouts. Also, w/ the body wisdom titles I have, I don't need tons and tons of individual DVDs anymore since those contain so many practices/options. Once I get some free time (hoping for later this summer when work is calmer and DD is at day camp) I'll be able to put together a trade/sale list. I'll be sure to post here first! Take care!
