morning all, finally got to this workout. i like petra but this is my first strength workout with her. the breakdown on the case is warm up 9 minupper body 17 minlower body 20 mintotal body(multi muscle group exercises)17 mincore 10 minstretch 6 minthe warm up starts with simple taps and grapevines with some leg balances using a medicine ball. don't know how much she was using but i used my 2lb weight ball. don't want to get to crazy in the warm up LOL. some rhythmic stretching in the warm while it loosens you up you just keep moving warming up the muscles a bit morethe upper body she used tubing but i mixed it up a bit. i don't like using tubing for chest other then two exercises. using the door attachment for standing chest press or using heavy tubing around the back for push ups so i just did chest

press with dummies as well as the tricep french press and bicep curls with dumbbells. she alternates muscle groups only doing one long set of reps(with tempo changes along the way)then moves to another exercises. she doesn't do opposing muscle groups (ie back/chest,bi/tri) she just jumps around. its not a bad thing, shakes it up a bit and obviously since there are lots of reps and tempo changes within the set you aren't using as heavy of a weight as usual. the lower body had plenty of balance work thrown in with traditional stuff. lunges and squats with some leg lifts and holds and balancing with knees up. she uses tubing and a medicine ball for this and i followed along. this is great for those that don't like heavy weight work for lower body b/c you use basic strengthening moves with elegant balances and that works just as hard as doing squats with your body weight on a barbell LOL. total body segments she uses weights and does alot of

difficult moves. chest press in a bridge doesn't bother me but when asking to do a chest press with one legged bridge does LOL. not good for my lower back but god bless those then can do this move b/c i can see it as a great core move while workout chest and buns. she does the same for cross body tricep work but i just stayed in bridge and didn't do the one leg deal. of course there is the old go-to multi muscle move of back lunges with bicep curls as well as squats with overheads. she just does them at her rhythm and that is not an easy feat. also there was the one arm back row with leg lift. um yeah that burned real good. i skipped core today b/c i finally got the kickbox core cross train dvd and i think i might tack that one with it for another day(hopefully tomorrow!!!!).the stretch had a dancers feel to it. she took her elegant time getting into some stretching as well as constant movement(like rolling down into forward bend and

rolling back up for a few times). i think this part could have been better considering i wouldn't say the workout was easy(especially with of the weight loads i used). the rhythmic movement was nice but the static stretches could have been more plentiful and held longer. i think a 10 min stretch segment would have been much better especially if you plan on doing the WHOLE workout in one shot. but the beauty of this dvd is that its chaptered so if you want an upper body day just chose upper body,no time on weight day do the total body. just don't forget your warm up and stretch :-). and similar to mindy's awesome strength you can mix and match what you use in your workouts. don't have a medicine ball, use a dumbbell(just don't do a throwing move like she does LOL) don't feel like dragging out the weights just use your step and tubing and all that. overall she is a great instructor although in the warm up some cues were off but that was

more in the middle of the repeated combo so its not like you will be lost forever if you miss a beat. she is friendly and so gosh darn adorable. the workout itself can be for all fitness levels ,its easy to follow, and made harder or easier depending on your weights/tubing strength. kassia ldy_solana's domainScouting for All Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don¢t want to impress people they don¢t like.-Will
