Guest guest
Here is what I've done for the last week....whew I'm tired! LOL I'm not going to review everything because I know you all have them and know what they are. 6/29 Turbo Jam 20 minute workout Turbo Jam Turbo Sculpt Turbo Jam Ab Jam 6/30 Aerobic Conditioning--3 Tamilee Webb episodes--1 hour total--This was a show on FitTV years ago where they would show a 20 minute workout and then 10 minutes of commercials at the end so you weren't interrupted by commercials. I loved those shows. These three were all Tamilee Webb Tighter Assets and were obviously taped just for Fit TV. Fairly decent workouts, but definitely doable for beginners Yoga Zone Sharpen Your Mind--Standard Yoga Zone taped from Wisdom TV eons ago. This one has a lot of standing poses. Yoga Zone Intro to Power Yoga--Another taped from Wisdom. A good intro, but some of it is more advanced then I would call intro. I'd call it more of an intermediate. 7/1, 7/2, and 7/3 Just walked around campus between classes, too busy studying to do anything else 7/4 Turbo Jam Cardio Party 30 Minute Express Above the Belt--30 minutes--This was one I got for a dollar at Wal-Mart at the beginning of the year. I kept hoping to see the others, but haven't. It is a pretty decent upper body workout, but her voice is a bit annoying and she has one exerciser in the back who is using bad form. Literally going against what she is saying to do. Not bad for a dollar though. Tony Little Ab Reduction--This is part of the Body Express set. The dvd's all say 50 minutes, but the workout portion of them is only 30 mintues. The other 20 minutes is intro and how to on the moves. Basic ab exercises, and Tony's goofiness. But I like Tony, so that's okay with me. 10 Minute Solution Carb Burner--all 5 segments--I hate the reference to how many carbs you are burning as opposed to calories, but these are some decent 10 minute workouts. Schiffer Perfectly Fit Abs--40 minutes--very artsy and is way too skinny! A pretty good ab workout though. Quick Fix Tight Abs--all 3 segments--3 pretty good 10 minute routines. 7/5 10 Minute Solution Fitness Ball--all 5 segments--similar to the other 10 minute and quick fix workouts. Good ball work, but not anything new. Quick Fix Stability Ball--all 3 segments--Ditto Walked around Wild Adventures and danced at the Randy Owen concert--6 hours 7/6 Learn Country Line Dancin'--90 minutes--All right, now if you want to feel like you have 2 left feet, try this group of videos. It is a set of 3, but for some reason, the videos say volume 1, 5, & 6. Who knows how to get volumes 2, 3, & 4. LOL In the first one, she faces the camera and doesn't mirror cue, so I was totally tripping over my own two feet, and I've taught country line dance before. In 5 & 6 she faces the back of the room, so you are staring at her backside the whole time, which is weird, but much easier to follow. These are basically how to videos for about a dozen different dances that you could do in a country bar 10-15 years ago. I haven't been in a country bar in about that long, so I don't know if they still do them or not. LOL Fun for a change, but definitely not something I'd recommend you go out and buy. Tony Little Butt & Thigh Reduction--Another of the Body Express series. Same as before with the dvd being 50 minutes but the actual workout is only 30. Glad it is chaptered. He gets a little motivational and mellow during the stretch. It was kinda a weird combination for him, because he is usually more goofy and high energy. New York Pilates Level 2--50 minutes--I love the NY style of Pilates. It is done with weights and seems more intense to me then the Stott or Winsor versions. I feel like jello after this one and it is only the intermediate version. I can't wait until next weekend when I do the advanced. I really wasn't feeling my abs from the workouts Friday until I got to the teasers in this workout. I couldn't do them! This is definitely one I'd recommend if you like challenging Pilates workouts. Guest guest
Great job, Tonya! That 30 min express workout sounds pretty good, espcially for a dollar! I was curious so I looked around online to learn more about it. Amazon sellers have above the belt, below the belt, and total body starting at $0.01 each (shipping is 2.98). Looks like they have all three on one disc, but that one starts at 14.98. I'm glad to know that Tony Little isn't so bad. mentioned that as well, but I haven't tried the Tony's I got from goodwill yet. Of course, doesn't bother me so I probably won't mind Tony either. Guest guest
You have been busy, Tonya! Goodness. I've been meaning to wish you well in your schooling. You've a tough semester, but it seems like you are into a good routine. Keep popping in when you have time - I love reading how you are fitting this all together. -----Original Message-----From: exercisevideos [mailto:exercisevideos ]On Behalf Of Tonya - Here is what I've done for the last week....whew I'm tired!
