Hi,

I did my planned workout today - T-Tapp Basic Plus warm-up (this makes a great warm up for strength workouts). Then, I moved on to Amy's Slo Mo Back & Shoulders Split. I have mixed feeling about it. There were some unique twists on standard exercises (such as a lying back row - laying face down on your stability ball you do a one-armed row), but some of these didn't seem to hit the targeted muscles for me. For example, the lying back row seemed to hit my shoulder more than my back. The next exercise, the one-armed pull over (laying face up on the stability ball) seemed to work my chest more than my back. It may just be a matter of getting used to the different positions and figuring out how I can focus on the intended muscle group. From what i can tell, most of these different positions are used to isolate the working muscle more so that the assistor muscles won't be involved (there are a few shoulder

exercises that she does w/ the ball that b/c of the position you are in, it is really concentrated on the shoulder). I do feel like I got a decent workout, although I did have to use pretty light weights due to the different positions/variations. I think I'll need to do this one a few more times to get a good feel for it and, in some cases, figure out how I can get the intended muscle group to work. Overall, though, some interesting stuff!

Tomorrow is cardio - my Advanced Workouts.com shipment arrived. I think I may do the Christi (Fit to Dance) tomorrow - it looks like so much fun. I hope I'm not too confused by it or otherwise disappointed in it.

Take care!
