I did 30 Day Shred Level 1 today after my 6 month checkup (actually just passed the 4 year mark, wahoo) with my oncologist and a dental checkup for my kids. I'm doing great (had my yearly mammogram last week and it was clear) and the kids are too! :-) It was hard to get my workout in but I had it in my head I was going to work out after all that and that made it easier.

I noticed Shred seemed a little easier (but not easy) and I burned about 16 less calories than last time (doesn't sound like much but I fight for every calorie I kill off!). My heart rate wasn't as high as it had been either and I was still putting my all into this. I used 5s for all the strength work except the side lunges with anterior raise. I tried 5s but could not keep good form and had to go to 3s. I could have used much heavier weights for the chest work though. Did the first set of pushups from my toes and the second set on my knees. I felt like I worked hard but not as hard as last time. I think I'm going to try Level 2 when I Shred on Wednesday. I might be sorry, but I have to at least try! :-)

When I was done I'd only burned 140 calories and I really wanted to do at least 150 plus I've been feeling really tight so I decided to add on Tamilee Webb's Total Body Stretch for Beginners, first the standing routine. That felt better and I now I was up to about 170 calories so I decided to add on the floor routine (wanted to go to 200!) and ended up at about 211 calories and much more importantly, I felt looser! My HRM motivated me to do more and the stretching was wonderful! I love that DVD (and my HRM).

Tomorrow is cardio and I've got on the rebounder planned. Have to get up early to do it but I will.

Tomorrow is my last WW at Work class with my favorite group too. They're taking a break for the summer and I'm hoping they'll call me again in the fall. My boss also called me today with some other meetings at WW centers to offer for me to lead, including one MUCH closer to my home at the same time I'm currently doing one on Wednesdays. She's going to try and find someone else for my meetings in the city I'm currently doing and move me closer to home. It would be one meeting instead of 2 so I'd make less money, but I'd be spending a lot less on gas plus I'd have more time, including for my workouts! :-) I would love it and am hoping it will work out! I didn't accept any of the others, including one set of 3 meetings on Friday mornings I would have loved to do because so much is up in the air with DH right now. I don't want to get into a new commitment and then be scrambling for more subs than I already am these days. I told her the situation though and she was very understanding and will keep me in mind for other opportunities in the future. Wish me luck with Wednesdays!!! :-)
