Guest guest
Hi, I was briefly a member of this group a year or so ago, but needed to leave for a bit due mostly to time constraints. I enjoyed the group when I was here and decided to rejoin. My name's Anne, I live in California, and I'll be 50 in August. I love to exercise with DVDs and videos. I've tried going to gyms, but that has a discouraging effect--I feel I'm not dressed right, I don't know what to do with the equipment, and I really don't like exercising in front of strangers. But exercising at home--now that's addictive. At this point, I'm a solid intermediate exerciser but finding a few of my intermediate DVDs and tapes starting to get too easy. I do have a major limitation--I had a serious heart attack two years ago and now have a pacemaker/defibrullator. So there's some things I need to careful of (no very heavy weights, if I run my heart rate up too quickly my ICD doesn't like it). I really enjoy step routines and dance aerobics, though most of the dance workouts I own are getting too easy. I also like WATP, esp. the set that came out on QVC in January. I think Sansome is a hoot, she just makes me smile. I just bought my second Cathe wor kout, Low Impact Step, and like it as much as the one I already own (Basic Step). I've set a goal of being ready for Low Max in 2 months, and then I'm going to try her higher impact workouts. I've been doing some strength training 3 times a week and I'm ready to ramp that up a bit too, and add some Pilates or Yoga workouts. I promised my youngest daughter I'd do Plus-Sized Pilates with her (I'm not plus sized, but she is), but that's on hold right now, as her MIL just passed away last week. But I'll post a review when I do it. Anyway, that's all I can think of to write! Looking forward to getting to know all of you better.
