Guest guest
Hey , It shouldn't be a problem at all, just make sure to keep the caloric intake up AND, very important, get enough rest. It's hard with a baby, but extra important to give your body a chance to recover properly. : ) beth (nursed 3 kids) mommato3cuteboys wrote: Hello all. I did bfl several years ago before kids and was very pleased with the results. Now I have a 6-month old (my 3rd) who is exclusively breastfed. Is it possible to do bfl while breastfeeding? Does it decrease your milk supply? Has anyone done it? I should mention I am also training for a half marathon in January. When I begin increase my mileage, I have to increase my caloric intake so my supply stays up. Can anyone offer any help/suggestions? I would really appreciate it!! Thanks, S. Guest guest
I breast fed years ago and worked out but probably not as BFL intensive. I'd suggest really watching the water intake and making getting your fluid a priority. Also, you'll need probably more milk/calcium so make sure you get a good supplement. I'd say the exercise was fine, and eating bfl style meals is fine, but if you are hungry, EAT. (not junk just more of the same) You are doing the most important thing you can ever do and that's feed your baby. Watch your milk production and baby's personality, if baby gets crabby or hungry, you may have to adjust. And remember, some of the weight you have right now is due to the breast feeding mechanism. I lost 10-20 pounds after weaning my kids. On Wed, Jun 18, 2008 at 4:30 PM, mommato3cuteboys wrote: > Hello all. I did bfl several years ago before kids and was very > pleased with the results. Guest guest
, Have you checked with La Leche League? They usually have a lot of information on anything related to breastfeeding. I joined them when I nursed my son 13 years ago. Here is a link: http://www.lllusa.org/ Karyn > > Hello all. I did bfl several years ago before kids and was very > pleased with the results.
