Guest guest
Be sure to buy ground white meat and not just regular ground turkey. Ground bison and extra lean ground beef are good too. > > > > I was plugging numbers into fitday and ground turkey has tons of > > cholestrol (sp?)!! Did you guys know that?? I'm shocked. Guest guest
Good Morning, I am having a difficult time finding ground white meat or ground bison. I went to Krogers, Publix, Walmart, and BJ's Food Warehouse. Are these products only found in the health food or whole food stores? Guest guest
No, I can find ground turkey breast and extra lean ground beef (95/5) at superTarget and Wal-Mart. For bison I have to go to Whole Foods. > > > > > > > I was plugging numbers into fitday and ground turkey has tons of > > > > cholestrol (sp?)!! Did you guys know that?? I'm shocked. Guest guest
Jennie-O makes ground white meat. I don't know about bison. Look for the Jennie O brand turkey products (usually in the fresh meat section) they have lean to extra lean in the ground or patties and also carry turkey cutlets: http://www.jennieo.com/products/product7027.aspx?catitemid=9 They carry this brand in our Safeway and Raleys here in CA. I have seen bison (near the regular hamburger pkgs) also at Raleys and Trader Joes. joni
Guest guest
I buy the ground bison burgers at Trader Joe's that someone else mentioned and our family really likes them. Had them on the Foreman last night and they were great! I've also found ground bison at local butcher shops - I do live in Ohio though so maybe that has something to do with it. J Re: the ground turkey.our Kroger carries a 93% lean ground turkey that is in the regular meat section with the turkey cutlets and turkey sausage. Hope that helps! Guest guest
Is it good cholesterol or bad cholesterol? there is a difference. Shrimp is high in cholesterol, but its the good cholesterol that helps battle the bad stuff. So, don't panic... Just keep eating clean ... and you wll be fine. > > I was plugging numbers into fitday and ground turkey has tons of > cholestrol (sp?)!! Did you guys know that?? I'm shocked.
