Great job Carolyn!!!I just did this one the other day too. Although, I enjoyed it, the " unevenness " (is that such a word) really bothered me! You would think he would try harder since we complain about it - he has to know!!!

hiya! i did my workouts today... yay!

this morning i walked chinook for 65 mins... 353 cal burn. the

weather was surprisingly mild here today and i enjoyed the walk

quite a bit. this evening i did taebo extreme for 57 mins... 363

cal burn.

i enjoyed taebo. billy spends the first half of the workout doing

cardio. eventually he adds in knee-ups on a step that are done

with punches. he moves fast, i had to remove the riser from my

step during this part. after that, he picks up very light weights

and does upper body exercises for 15 mins or so. billy says that

they are using 1 lb weights... i was like '1 lb! what?!'... i had

5's in my hands. so i grabbed 1.5 donuts and used those. yes,

lots of reps and some are done double-time, but he uses the same

weight for shoulders, triceps and biceps and id rather change the

weights appropriately. pushups are also done and billy does a set

with shellie laying on his back. i always like it when billy and

shellie do tricks! then billy does some floorwork on hands and

knees -- donkey kicks to the rear and snap kicks (?) to the side.

billy still cant cue right/left properly, and he missed some

double-time snap kicks. the music was a strong electronic beat to

follow. there were a couple of tough spots on the workout but

overall, it is at the intermediate level. billy does give

encouragement to beginners and shows beginner modifications at

times. he is very engaging and entertaining in this workout, as usual.

That's why they were doing the new counting on Amped to try to keep it even. I don't pay attention as after all these years, I'm not uneven so I don't know if it has evened up the sides or not. I *think* it did IIRC from other people's postings on VF.

Good going, Carolyn!

I think I did Taebo Extreme once, I should do it

again. Ihave, as you now, a ridiculous amount of

workouts - *SIGH*

Our weather has been really mild lately, too, I want

to say yesterday might have hit 70 - it was wonderful

to be outside without a coat!

yeah, it is only a problem on the floorwork... the rest of it seemed

ok (in that he did both sides evenly). i think that it is supposed

to be shellie's job to remind billy that he missed some reps or a

side, or whatever. in some workouts she speaks up and tells dad

that he made a mistake... i wish she would do that all of the time.

hi sandie! thats a good point... they actually count the sets

done in amped, and not just the reps. however, billy still manages

to miss something here or there in the amped workouts.

im like you, it doesnt bother me much. i just do whatever billy

says :)

i just make a note of it in my reviews in case other people want to

know.

Um... as a unknown aerobics instructor who can make it even, a professional like BB should be able to do this, and it should NOT be Shellie's responsibility either! Normally you do an exercise for a phrase of music, or 32 counts. It is NOT hard to do 2 phrases of knee strikes on one side then 2 phrases of music on the other! Not mirroring his cueing and uneven counting does bug me about Tae-Bo and makes it appear less professional. It's his only flaw :) I just adore him in every other way as an instructor! He is someone I would love to meet someday.

Um.... dont forget that billy is dyslexic... maybe that has

something to do with needing shellie to remind him about the

reps/sets. he also gets to doing his motivational talks or showing

proper form or showing modifications, that he gets a bit off track

at times. it must be difficult for anyone to do all of that at the

same time. i do see it as shellie's responsibility to help billy,

so that they can make the workouts be the best they can be. she is

his right-hand woman! although perhaps some cue cards might be

just as helpful when it comes to not missing exercises....LOL
