Guest guest
Hi Tamara, I do a lot of Sansone workouts (but none with the belt, which I, and those who have tried it agree, it ain't worth much) and I use weights in place of the belt too. I have Target Toning on my netflix list too! I'm glad to hear you liked it. That was cool that you did them twice. It sounds like you're doing really great in your progress too!! Way to go!! weekly update This week netflix sent me 10 min solution Target toning and Sansone's Walk Away the pounds for abs.The Sansone video uses a waistband that looked to me like it will do more to make Lelie money than trim my waist! I just used weights. I thought this workout was really easy and didn't do much for me, but then I was actually pretty sore the next day. So I guess it is better than I thought! DD10 is doing a research report about global warming, so I sent back in order to netflix "An Inconvenient Truth" for her.Target Toning was good, as has been my experience with all the 10 min. solutions. I felt like the segments were a little to short in this case though, so I just played them twice. When I started this exercise stuff, I was using 2 pounds handweights. That got easy fast and I bought 3 pounders. They felt very heavy for a while. Last weekend I bought a pair of 5 pounders and am using those now. I really love feeling these changes!Tamara-- Join the Athens County Homeschoolers Yahoo Group! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/athenscountyhomeschoolers
Guest guest
GREAT Job Tamara! Remember some muscles can lift heavier weights than others so be careful to use the right weight with the right muscles. For example, I can lift heavier weight with my biceps than my triceps...working on that. Keep it up! Guest guest
Do you use different weights on different sides? My right arm is so much more muscular than my left, I am sure because I carry my kids on the right (and I am right handed). I don't really notice my left arm having a harder time when I exercise though. I wonder if I should exercise with a heavier weight on the left to even things up. Maybe it just doesn't matter. Thanks for the advice about different weights. I hadn't thought of that but it makes sense that I might want different weights on different muscle groups. Tamara GREAT Job Tamara! Guest guest
I do for triceps and shoulders sometimes. My left side is significantly weaker in the shoulder area (due to surgeries) so if the two sides are being worked separately, I'll sometimes use different weights (depending on how things are going that day). If the two sides are being worked together then I choose a weight with which I can keep good form for both sides. I switch weights all the time for various exercises. For P90 Circuit, for example, I'll use 10s for bicep curls but usually 8s for anything overhead and 7s for shoulders. Re: weekly update Do you use different weights on different sides? Guest guest
I would work the same amount of weights, but I would add more reps to the weak side to strengthen it up.DarcyOn Jan 23, 2008 7:18 PM, Tamara Marchi < tamaravk@...> wrote: Do you use different weights on different sides?
