Guest guest
That sounds like a good workout, Donna! Kathy can always be depended upon in a pinch, huh! Plometicd are so fun but oh so bad for the joints :/ I overslept this morning and now that you mention it, maybe tonite is the night I try T-Tapp after that will most likely be Dance Off the Inches. Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Tuesday - Intervals (Kathy - Peak Fat Burning) Hi Everyone, Today was supposed to be Plyo X, but I feel like I'm coming down with a cold -not a surprise, DH was pretty sick over the weekend, so I wanted to keep in with the " concept " but pick something that was shorter - so I went with Kathy 's Functionally Fit Peak Fat Burning which is an interval style workout - 6 cycles of high intensity intervals followed by recovery moves that tone the lower body. It worked out pretty well and was tough - definately a good sub for the plyo workout if short on time/feeling under the weather and not up for an hour! Kathy's workout has two minutes of high intensity moves followed by about two minutes of recovery. Tony has you do 3 or so moves for 30 seconds each and then a 1 minute move that is slightly (but only slightly) easier. So both are challenging, just in a different way. I warmed up with T-Tapp Basic. I would have liked to do some additional stretching, but DD was up already. Perhaps tonight when everyone is asleep. My back is feeling good this week - no real rhyme or reason as to what sets it off but I'm happy it feels good so far. Tomorrow the plan is to do Back & Biceps - a P90X workout I haven't done yet. If I'm feeling sick I'll skip the extra cardio I always add on! Take care- off to the airborne! Guest guest
Hi! You know what is strange? I actually find the plyometric workouts - like plyo X and p90 Masters Cardio Intervals to be less stressful on my joints than the long-drawn-out-step and hi/lo workouts - go figure. With these you generally hit it hard/recover, etc. with the others it is just an endless pounding. Although I b*tch and moan constantly about not seeing results from p90x, when I do an interval workout I do notice that I have improved in my ability to do them, to jump higher, etc. I guess to be honest even though I've made miniscule progress in my strength, there are somethings that are easier for me now - chattarungas in yoga, for example. So, I guess all was/is not lost! take care, Donna --- pinkpussycat@... wrote: > That sounds like a good workout, Donna!
