Guest guest
A good blog entry from Alwyn Cosgrove today. In particular, note the part about " If you add ten pounds of muscle and lose ten pounds of fat, you're going to look like you lost *at least* 20lbs. But the scale won't move. " http://alwyncosgrove.blogspot.com/2008/02/fat-sucking-machine.html

Guest guest
Oh dear, I'd have to say that I wouldn't get in that machine. Even if I looked amazing, if I weighed over 200lbs I'd still be miserable. I wouldn't be able to sit on my husbands lap, he wouldn't be able to lift me and I'd be too embarrassed to go " on top " ! Sorry to be devil's advocate here, I get the point of the article, I really do, but weight DOES still matter for some things.
Guest guest
Wow, I have no idea how to respond to this, except to say that you've got a major mental hurdle to overcome in your quest to become fit. (If your husband can't handle 200 pounds....well, he'd better get in that machine, too!) Naomi ******* theotherphoenix wrote: > > Oh dear, I'd have to say that I wouldn't get in that machine. Guest guest
Thank you for posting this, . It came at the perfect time for me, and it's something I need to re-read at times, when 'scale obsession' hits again. I've saved a copy to my hard drive! ;-) Thanks again for sharing!
