LMAO!!! You'll get to that other cheek fat, I know it!

Plough is a move where you basically lay on your back and using your abdominals pull your feet up with straight legs and touch your toes on the floor behind your head. It's a tough move to get to.

As for the hands and knees position, I use 1/2 inch foam mats under my yoga mat when I'm doing anything on my hands and knees and that helps. You can usually find them in the sporting goods area as matting for under gym equipment or for like in a day care center or something like that. Yeah, I'm a big kid and need the foam mats to protect my knees! LOL Anyway, they really do help with the pressure on the knees. For the wrists, I recommend going onto the elbows instead of the hands. That also helps support the low back so it isn't strained in that position.

Jen's adventure with Ramp It Up!

I've done Ramp It Up a few times before and I really liked it then.

I did it again today and I still LIKE IT! I think that it's a great workout especially the squat and leg section.

I was able to do all of the exercises. The only thing I did differently was that I leaned against a chair for the leg exercise because if I got on all fours I would KILL my hands and knees! I still got a GREAT workout. I was going to use leg wgts but I'm glad I didn't this time, maybe in a couple of weeks I will.....maybe NOT!

The kickboxing was pretty good but I prefer the kickboxing in Sweat 1-2, I guess because the right leg kick Debbie does seems ackward to me. Anyway, I like it but not as much as Tony's kickboxing

Guess what? I was able to do the yoga at the end of this workout but I think it was because it didn't go on FOREVER!

Hey what is the "plough" in yoga? Please describe it to me. I really love upward dog, it feels so good for my back.

GREAT NEWS - I noticed that my cheeks looked thinner and I asked my mom if she thought the same thing and she said "yes." So looks like exercise is a good way to reduce cheek fat! LOL, now I need to reduce the other cheek fat!!! LMAO

getting noticeable results already... whoo-hoo!!!

i think that the face is typically the first place to thin out, that

seems to be true for me, anyway.

I'm so excited for you, Jen, and so proud of what you're doing!

You've waited and gone through so much, just to be able to do what

you're doing now-- I know you'll have great success!! I'm thrilled

that you're seeing a difference in your face-- it seems to be the

first place I show a loss, too, and keeping up with those little

subtle changes is so motivating! LOL, you should have seen me dancing

in the bathroom when I discovered that a normal size bath towel would

finally wrap around me again!

As for the Plough, that's one of those moves that no one will ever get

me to do. My neck is a genetic weak spot, so there's no way I'm going

to risk it by flipping my rear end up over my head! ;-)

Wish I had some suggestions for you for your knees and wrists, but I

don' t have anything but what's already been offered. Oh, wait, yes I

do!

When/if you do get onto hands and knees, think about pressing through

the outside of your hands, with no pressure on the thumb side. Also

imagine pulling up out of your wrists, instead of thinking of letting

your weight push into them.

Also, don't let your upper back sink between your shoulder blades-- I

tend to let that part just " sag " between my arms, like a hammock. (I

think maybe because I've got *ahem* quite a load on the front.) When

I remember to hold myself up in the upper back, I can feel quite a

load lift off my elbows and wrists.

Again, please know that I'm just thrilled to pieces with your

determination and effort, and I'm grinning right along with you!

Tess
